chapter eight: the day comes

The team followed Nobara to a forest near the Mist village. She glanced at Shizuru and Kagawa then signaled them to fan out in different directions. Sekigetsu stayed on her tail to cover her. Sarada glanced around while Boruto followed behind her with his guard up before smoke bombs were thrown. "Scatter!" Nobara shouted. Sarada used her Sharingan and enhanced strength to knock out the rouge ninja that came her way. Boruto's Jougan activated due to the negitive emotions in the air and aided him in battle along with his shadow clones. Kegawa mixed her lightning release techniques with the Inuzuka fighting style while Shizuru used her insects. Sekigetsu used his twin swords and water techniques while Nobara used her clones and enhanced strength to knock out her attacks until the smoke cleared. The rouge ninja that attacked were knocked out. Nobara took pictures of their black clothes and unmasked their faces to take pictures of what their faces look like for the Hokage. "Sekigetsu..." "I scene him." He replied. "Let's move." Boruto stared at the ninja they defeated as they left. "I thought the bugs found them..." "They did they are on the move that's why I said we need to hurry. Asahi and Yuhi are fast." She explained. Boruto huffed "if the definition of brotherly love are so strong and powerful why do we have to go save their sorry asses? They wanna leave so why chase them? Its not like anyone cares..." Sarada glanced at him with a look that said shut up before Nobara threw a punch at him. He dodged barely and glared at her. "What the hell?!" "How dare you... Say one more word like that and you'll need to learn sign language to communicate! We aren't going to save them. We are going to stop them. The Hokage is trying to form an alliance with the Sound and Mist... The leaf village has been on rocky terms with the two villages since the Uchiha-Hyuga clan was formed. We are trying to come to an agreement." "They attacked us!" Sarada voiced. "I was there when they attacked the twins!" "That doesn't mean we stoop to their level. We are better then that we need to show them we don't have to fight..." Nobara claimed, "we need a peaceful solution." Kegawa rolled her eyes. "As long as there is something to fight for there will never be peace. That's just a bunch of bullshit... Wars are coming and this is just the start. If it's not the Sound or Mist it will be the Earth." "I must agree. Sunagakure and Kumogakure are the only villages that have a strong enough bond with Konohagakure to last." Shizuru added. "We can achieve peace if we keep trying there is always another way." Nobara argued making Sekigetsu scoffed, "the most short tempered violent baka I know giving a lecture on peace... Give it a rest you flaming jalapeno..." Nobara grabbed his shirt, "shut your face water sprite! I didn't say I'd be leading the village in the way of peace! That's not my chosen path but I'm trying my best to do my part!" Sekigetsu huffed and glanced away. Sarada adjusted her glasses, "this isn't helping us find Yuhi and Asahi. Put this aside for now, we need to find them." The genin agreed to disagree and continued their way.

Boruto hated the awkward silence almost as much as he hated the bickering but knew it was best to keep quiet. The genin didnt seem to work well together or even like each other. He wondered why Naruto put them on a team to find the twins especially when half the team didn't like them. He glanced around. The forest had been distorted with the damage it had taken from battle. The team stopped in the distance when they saw the twins. Several fallen nin around them and they were obviously battered and bruised but continued to fight. Sarada immediately trying to go to their aid but Nobara stopped her. "I have a plan... We hit the ground here with enhanced strength to catch them off guard. Boruto create clones as a distraction while Shizuru's beetles come in for a sneak attack. Kegawa you and Sekigetsu will get Asahi and Yuhi." Kegawa frowned at her assigned job but nodded. The genin followed her plan as ordered. Sarada was alittle impressed that Nobara's enhanced strength was just as strong as hers. Boruto's clones did the trick in distracted the rouge nin while Shizuru's beetles ate their chakra but when Sekigetsu tried to grabbed Yuhi but there was a poof of smoke and a log appeared. "Damnit! They got away!" Kegawa huffed and kicked the log. Sekigetsu stared it. "I had a dream... Like this once..." Sekigetsu muttered. Kegawa raised her brow at him. "You have some serious issues..." "No that's not what I meant!" He shouted making her scoff, "whatever... You are so in love with him..." Nobara sighed. "Great...now we need to track them down again. Water sprite get your butt over here! We need to find them! Shizuru, Kegawa you too!" The other genin sighed. Sarada raised her brow at her. "You are bossy..." "Im leader of course I am... Your chakra control is great by the way." Nobara smiled. "Well we both had Sakura as a mother and teacher." Sarada claimed. Nobara cocked her head to the side. "Yeah... No... My mom is a total different person then yours. They both might be strong independent medcial nin and head of the konoha hospital, but my mother is wife of the seventh Hokage and mother of two and a half bright children. From what I gathered your mom is lonely pathetic and sad... Nothing like my mother who is happy strong and social. Your gene pool is nothing compared to mind don't think just because your Uchiha means your better. You aren't even in my league when it comes to chakra and chakra control but I appreciate your help." Sarada gripped her fist. "You are a brat..." Nobara winked at her then flicked her pigtails at her before continuing her way. Sarada narrowed her eyes, her body shook slightly with anger as she tried to control herself from starting a fight with the pink haired bossy brat. Boruto touched Sarada's shoulders. "Don't worry about her... She's nothing compared to you." She blushed lightly before adjusting her glasses. "We need to find Yuhi and Asahi... Focus..." Boruto gave a nod, "right! Hope Mitsuki is having better luck then we are."
