Steve's POV
"Yeah," I nodded. I handed JJ's gun to her. She shot back at the gunmen and hit two. "Got a good eye on you."
"I know," JJ smiled.
"There," Rachel pointed at the yard. They were aiming at her. JJ pulled Rachel behind the column right before the bullet hit. "Thank you."
"Don't mention it," JJ nodded. I took a shot and got him. "Got him?"
"Yeah," I relaxed. We walked out to the team. "SWAT is free to go in."
"My man," Grover smiled as he gave me a handshake and then a hug. "How'd you get out alive?"
"Steve," JJ nodded. "If he hadn't pulled me out of the bushes, I would have a couple bullet holes in me."
"Well, I'm not about to let you die," I smiled. I looked at my watch. "We should all get back to our homes and get ready for the party at the beach."
"What party?" JJ asked.
"You'll see," I replied. I drove her to our home and let her take a shower and get dressed. "Are you done, JJ?"
"Yeah," JJ walked down the stairs. "Is this fine for this secret party you refuse to tell me what it's about?"
"You look perfect," I nodded. I drove her to the beach and we met up with our team. "It's a farewell party for you and Gracie."
"Where's Grace going?" JJ asked.
"I'm going to Disney with you," Grace joined us. "I'm going to be your photographer."
"How do you know what I'm doing?" JJ asked.
"Disney sends out emails to photographers and they gave me your name," Grace smiled. "So, you know who your characters are. Do you wanna take the stage?"
"Only for you, Grace," JJ nodded. She got onstage and grabbed a mic. "So, first, I wanna thank you all for coming out to mine and Gracie's farewell party. Looks like we're going to be flying out together."
"We're going to miss you," Junior stated.
"I'm going to miss you guys too," JJ pointed at us. "While I'm up here, I'm going to sing a song for you. It's not going to be a song of my character, but I feel this song speaks to the kids growing up." I smiled. "Yes, I'm a grown adult going to work at Disney. No shame, because I'm a kid at heart."
"Come on, Auntie J," Grace replied as I put my arm around her. "You got this."
"You going to be alright out there with JJ?" Danny asked.
"You think Uncle Steve will let me go out there without her?" Grace asked.
"She'll protect you, Gracie," I nodded. "JJ loves you."
The music started playing. "You've got the words to change a nation, but you're biting your tongue. You've spent a lifetime stuck in silence, afraid you'll say something wrong," JJ sang. "If no one ever hears it, how we gonna learn your song? So come on, come on. Come on, come on." JJ smiled at me. "You've got a heart as loud as lions, so why let your voice be tamed? Baby, we're a little different. There's no need to be ashamed." JJ motioned Grace to get on the stage and Grace did. Grace got a microphone handed to her. "You've got the light to fight the shadows, so stop hiding it away. Come on, come on."
