The Night Awaits

Chapter 1 - Come Find Us

"What? What happened?" Darrel said as he fell from his glass case to the cold grass. He gazed back only to see some of his friends trapped and frozen in time inside a glass case. It wasn't long before he realized that he wasn't the only one there. Quickly but quietly, he hid behind a tree as he eavesdropped on one of the people speaking. "I shall seek for new mortal souls for the sacrificial event tonight. Your job is to guard the area in case any of the new mortals break loose from their exhibits. If one does, execute them. Understood?" A woman commanded. He saw the tall, slender, dark woman give one of the guards a necklace with a key on it. As the guard stood up, Darrel ran to the museum to seek help.

Darrel ran and ran all over the place before hiding in one of the exhibits. There, located a jar with humans head and organs. The closer he looks, the more he realized that it's some of his friends head. He panicked and knocked something down. *cling* He took the fallen blue crystal to take a closer look. In the crystal, it showed his friends being killed before it revealed that there are still people alive outside the museum. It showed Senna's face in the crystal. "Sen! Senna! Can you hear me? Please save us. We need you. Come find us." Darrel said. He froze in fear as he heard the door behind him open. "What are you doing outside of your exhibits?" The guard asked. "What did you do to my friends?" Darrel asked back. "The king doesn't have enough exhibits for everyone so he took the left over's organs and feast upon them if he's feeling a little hungry." The guard explained before he penetrated his spear through Darrel's chest. "My friends will come-" Darrel said as his last breath slipping away.

The guards were checking to see if there's anything out of place. One of them realized that the Crystal of Magic disappeared. It turns out the crystal teleported to Senna's front door.

*Ting*, the doorbell rang. Senna opened the door to see who ranged and saw no one but a piece of blue crystal. He took it inside to investigate it. He rubbed it a few times and suddenly a short visual of Darrel appeared. It was his message to Senna earlier. With a few more rubs, it showed the picture of the museum and the town it's in. Museum of the Dead, Everwood. "The town can only be found in the era of 1970s. You must find other friends in order to save your deceased ones. You must wear and become someone reminiscent of the era for the town to be revealed. Anything from this year isn't allowed to be brought or the town won't appear. Good luck, Renegade." the crystal spoke. Senna immediately wrote and sent a letter to all his friends.

My friends,

I am hereby to invite you to a dangerous and fun adventure to the 1970s. The town of Everwood has been cursed by an evil entity and we must rescue the town and the people in it. The town of Everwood will only be revealed if you successfully dress and become the person reminiscent of the 1970s. The persona specifically for you is written behind this letter. Do be ready before sunset as the carriage will only exist between 5 PM to 6 PM. I'm looking forward to seeing you guys there!

Senna invited Kenzie, Turo, Jihad, Satya, Alya, Khaira, and Keiona to join this "adventure". They all met at this forest exactly at 6 PM. They all had this fun meet and greet moment before Senna finally explaining what's about to happen. "This crystal basically will open a portal to the town and we must enter quickly because the magic isn't strong enough to open forever," Senna explained. The guests looked at each other in weirdness before finally agreeing. They all then began chanting;

"Away I go and out of sight,
I will be gone until I deem the time is right,
Forgotten from memories until I am back,
While I'm gone in a new world as my presence lacks,
Time will pass just as is,
Lives will go on just like this,
Through this door is what I see,
This is my will, so mote it be."

A portal suddenly appeared out of nowhere and they all swiftly jumped in. The town was beautiful. It happened to be Carnival Day there. Ferris wheels, clowns, teddy bears, you name it! Forgetting their purpose, they all entered and had fun in the Ferris wheel except for Senna and Khaira. They were investigating around the place if there were anything suspicious. It wasn't long before the clowns go wild and start throwing knives to the innocent citizens...
