BONDS were created to allow Male wolves to feel superior amongst the pack, well mainly Alphas; their egos get the best of them unfortunately.
What are bonds, you say?
Well they are something which brings two supernatural beings together, like a heart and lungs together or like the sun and the moon; those are the type of things that need to be with each other to work otherwise when they're on their own they won't. So when two supernatural beings are courting one another they find things that make them fit like a puzzle piece; it isn't a simple 'I choose you' then their connected, it is a much longer process.
But at the same time it is hard to find that one who connects with you, it is hard to find someone who simply understands you, your wants as well as your desires. That's why courting another supernatural being takes time, it is more that the Alpha will seek out another play mate rather than someone who is of lower rank. Although, a Beta may seek out a partner of their own, but if they wanted an Alpha then they had to work hard for it.
If an Alpha planned to court another, there were steps that needed to be planned out; seek out who they want, watch what they like then start to court them, after that plan a day on getting to know one another; if you hate what they desire and they hate what you desire then the idea of coming together will be burned and to be never spoken of again.
However, with some Alpha packs their Alpha doesn't care if the interests aren't the same, they just put two people together and demand a heir after their own. Some wolves were never lucky to have a decision of their own. Yet, some are.
Some are that lucky to have the magical feeling of their other half, but that is only if their blood is special. If they're a pure blood of the royals, or an Omega such as-
"Taehyung!" The elder wolf called out, "Yes Alpha?" The small Omega stood tall and straight as he was stared down by the Alpha. The Omega's eyes never broke eye contact; well if it did then let's say he would be punished for being disrespectful. "I see you still know the rules, good, anyway I called you here because there are guests visiting today and this place needs to be spotless." Taehyung nodded, "Yes Alpha."
"Oh, and by spotless I mean spotless; no dirt, not even a flick of dust is allowed to be seen otherwise you know the consequences pup." Taehyung whimpered, but nodded "Yes Alpha." The elder wolf nodded and just walked off in the other direction. Once the elder wolf was out of sight, Taehyung breathed out and slanted over, "I guess I better get to work then." He wasted no time in rushing towards the kitchen and cleaning up the plates and cutlery which had been left to be cleaned by no one; yes, Taehyung was an Omega but that didn't mean he was a maid in the pack house.
The rule was 'you make the mess, you clean it up' but apparently no one seemed to listen to that except the elder wolves. "Taehyung." He quickly turned around and faced the Beta calling his name, "Yes Beta Kai?"
