Day 4

Another day came and went. Four tributes remained, and it couldn't be more close. Nadia, District 4, still had no good shelter, but plenty of supplies. Ziva, District 5, is very dehydrated from the oven-like cave and has no supplies. Leslie and Jane, Districts 7 and 8, are allied with good weapons but little food. To almost every tribute, it seems easy now for them to survive. They all have hope that they will win, but they hadn't yet seen the worst.

The ground began to shake and split like the land was being cut clean through the middle with a butter knife. The ceiling of Ziva's little cave began to crack and crumble. Without a second thought, she leaped out of the way before the cave collapsed around her. Almost on the other side of the arena, the ground began to split right between Nadia's legs, and with a yelp, she ran as fast as she could away from the danger. Sharp sticks cut at her legs and the vibrating ground caused her great trouble as she continued on her way, but she just kept running. Jane and Leslie hurried through the forest, trying to find a safe place to stay until the earthquake was over. As they were running however, a large CRACK caused them great alarm as a tree started falling toward them. Jane was successful at dodging it, but Leslie wasn't as successful. A large branch landed on her calf, and her leg buckled beneath her. She heard an ear piercing crack of her ankle breaking. Leslie bit back tears as she tried to pull herself out from underneath, but it was too heavy. Even with Jane's help they couldn't move the tree. Finally, the ground beneath them started to crack and deteriorate. With one mighty shove, she pushed Jane out of the way before the ground gave out beneath her, and she fell. A canon blast for the fallen tribute.

And everything was still.

We are down to our final 3! The survivors of day 4 are:

Nadia from District 4

Ziva from District 5

Jane from District 8

I'm sooooooo sorry it took so long! School started up for me once again, and I've barely had enough time to sleep because of homework (let alone work a competition). My teachers are starting to ease up on us now, so I should be giving updates more often. Thank you for being so patient! You guys are amazing!
