Day 3

The day was long and hard. Ziva and Trevor from District 5 found a small cave to hide in for the night ahead of them--hoping that no one would go looking for them there. They knew they were short on supplies, and they also knew that they wouldn't last long without finding food and a water source. Nadia from District 4 was quite the opposite. She had plenty of supplies but no place to hide, so instead of staying in one place like a sitting duck, she kept moving--hoping she wouldn't run into any tributes along the way. Leslie from District 7 hid among the trees, using a decent amount of mud and moss to camouflage herself into her surroundings. She held her bow at the ready, but every once in a while, she would doze into sleep, only to be awakened by a bird flying in the branches above her or a rabbit hopping among the grasses. Jane from District 8 stumbled blindly through the forest, her backpack swinging at her side. It wasn't long before she felt herself stumble on something in the darkness, and when she looked up, she could see the silver glimmer of Leslie's bow and arrow in the moonlight pointing straight at her. Jane held up her knife--one she had stolen from a fallen tribute a little ways back--but she knew it would be pointless at this time, for a small knife was no match for a bow and arrow.

"I have food," Jane said, holding up a loaf of bread. "Allies?" Leslie stared hungrily at the bread, and after a few seconds of contemplating, she lowered her bow. Joe from District 8 swung his sword angrily through the trees, cutting away any branches and leaves in his path. He was angry that Jane had gotten away from him during his attack, now he had to deal with one extra tribute than he should have. Blinded by his anger, he didn't notice the force field coming up ahead of him. He swung his sword and in one mighty blast, another tribute fell. A cannon blast. Sweat poured down Trevor's face as he slept. The cave felt like an oven inside. It absorbed every ounce of heat from the outside. Dehydration caused him to not last the night. A cannon blew for the fallen tribute.

There are now only 4 survivors of day 3:

Nadia from District 4

Ziva from District 5

Leslie from District 7

Jane from District 8

All that are left are girls! The next round will take place in a few weeks. Good luck!
