Yujin woke up in the infirmary but could barely stand up. He then decides to stay on bed to rest. But he suddenly started hearing two men talking in the other room.
"I'm sorry, but rules are rules."
"Why are you doing this to him?"
"Come on, sir, even if he received multiple injuries, that doesn't make him the victim, sometimes the assailant gets beaten and badly hurt than his victim."
"What? That doesn't make any sense."
"Well it does, I showed you the video, earlier right. We both saw it here. Why are you still forcing that he's a victim"?
With hearing those words, Yujin mustered all his remaining strength to stand up and get to the other room. As he opened the door, he saw three people, Nurse Emilia, Professor Steven, and his Uncle, Uncle Kiba. Nurse Emilia saw him and approached him. She said,
"Yujin... why don't we go back to your bed first and I'll continue healing you."
Yujin got back to the bed as suggested by Nurse Emilia while Kiba, who also saw him, follows him to the room. The bed is equipped with healing capabilities. He lies down as his Uncle silently stared beside him. After a few minutes of silence, Yujin finally talked to his Uncle.
"You said it yesterday that I was raised this way by my mother, the right way. But why do I feel like you're having second thoughts, Uncle? Yesterday I was arrested at the police station, and you said that I was doing the right thing. The case yesterday was worse since I was arrested and detained, but now, I'm just suspended, why are you not saying anything?"
But Kiba never said anything back.
"Why, Uncle? Do you feel like maybe my mother was wrong? Like maybe I shouldn't try and save everybody? Or maybe you believed on that video that they showed you that I punched first. It was cropped perfectly that you could barely even see that he tried to punch me first and I just dodged it, and that's when I foug—"
"STOP!", his Uncle told him. He continued,
"Stop all this, yes, maybe you were doing the right thing. Yes, maybe your mother is not wrong. Yes, maybe you didn't really punch the guy first. But as to what end, Yujin? Yesterday, you were arrested, you broke one of your legs and one of your arm. Also, a rib was broken inside you, the medic team took care of that on the police station. Today, you had multiple internal bleeding, your lungs were badly damaged, and the Nurse of this school took care of that too. But all those payments, I took care of that," Uncle Kiba replied.
Yujin stopped talking and is just looking Kiba straight in his eyes.
"You can say, that I only care about my money, but that's not it, think about this, at some point, this money that I've been paying for your bills will run out, and I will be forced to let you die since I don't have the money to take care of you anymore. Imagine what your sister and my son would say if you died and I did that, can't you see that?", he said.
Yujin screamed, "Then what should I do? Should I just watch the cat fall on that tree when I can save it? Should I just let that old woman from yesterday get crushed when I can bait myself for her to survive? And Should I just let these bullies here step on people here when I ca—"
"Can't you see, you did all of those, yet none of those went successfully, the cat got broken ribs, the woman was nearly on heart attack, and the kids who you tried to protect from bullies still got bullied and all of these led with you being badly injured. Maybe, before you try and save them, become a stronger person at least."
Yujin paused for a moment as he remembered how her mother was. Ka'el O'Rina.
