❝ Omen ❞

The silence laid steady and everything in the forest remain quiet, expectingly. The wind blew graciously, sending a stream of cold breeze towards all corners of its house. The sky was clear and beautiful, enlightening those who looked up at it. You could even hear the river in the distance, making its way towards the rest of its heart. The leaves danced gracefully, giving off a calm environment.

Hidden behind one of the biggest trees, stood a girl. Her arch was ready, holding back an arrow. Her eyes, who held a different color than the other, narrowed at the distance. The boots placed in her feet took a shooting position, allowing her to maintain balance, while her hands did the work.

A few meters away from her, stood a male deer. It was eating from the grass underneath a bush, enjoying the calmness, not aware that a predator was preying its way around.

The girl drew back her arch, positioning her fingers close to her mouth. She exhaled slowly and raised her head, the same way she was taught by her brothers.

In her mind, time stopped, allowing her to see clearer her prey. Her deep blue eye analyzed the animal, while the lighter blue eye looked for the perfect opportunity to strike. Her eyes narrowed once again, and the arrow was drawn back. A small smile was placed upon her lips and without second thought, she shot.

"Addisa!"

A yell from above was heard, scaring the animal away just as her arrow hit the place where its head was. An angry growl escaped her lips, and she had no other choice but to let down her arch.

"Addisa, there you are!"

The brunette took an arrow from her back, positioning it in her arch again. The person came down the hill, walking in a fast pace towards her.

    "I've been searching for you—"

The girl pulled back her arrow, aiming at the boy. The blond stopped in his tracks, eyes widened at her sudden actions, but he had a small smile nonetheless, amused.

"What are you doing?" he raised an eyebrow, causing her to shrug.

"You scared my prey, perhaps I should kill you to replace it" she narrowed her eyes at him, pretending to be ready to shoot.

"You don't need to hunt your food, it is already serve for you" he rolled his eyes playfully. He took a step forward, but she drew back more her arch, causing him to stop and look at her.
