“Niall I told you to stop eating cheezies and playing video games!” I yelled up the stairs to the ignorant Irish boy. I rushed around the flat that me and the rest of my band mates from One Direction shared, picking up pieces of litter and underwear that lay strewn across the carpets.
“Sorry mate!” I huffed and fixed my curls that flipped to one side of my forehead.
Christina would be coming over today again to hang out with all of us. After our first dinner together we had been hanging out a bit. She seemed to get along with the lads pretty well and they didn’t mind her company. Louis always bugs me about my feelings for her... it gets quite annoying actually. Sure I like Chrissy but most of it would probably be as a friend. Besides, I don’t think she will ever like a guy like me. The doorbell rang and before I could escape the messy living room, Louis raced to the door screaming.
“AGGHH!!! I’m getting it!” he yelled excitedly. I heard the door slam against the wall and I winced- that was probably a new hole in the drywall. “Chris!” he shouted loudly so that the rest of the house could hear. “Oh we missed you!” I heard her quiet response, but she was chuckling.
“Lou it’s only been three days...”
“Yeah three days without you. Harry is driving everyone insane talking about you. He goes on and on...” i decided to intervene then, hearing enough from Louis.
“That’s quite enough Lou,” I laughed.
“Sorry...” He blushed and scooted out of the way, realizing that I had caught him in the act of gossiping.
“Hey Chrissy, “ I smiled cheekily at her before wrapping her in a hug. “I’m afraid there’s not much to do today... I’m helping Liam clean the place since it looks like World War 3 happened in here.” She laughed.
“That’s quite alright, I’ll just play some video games. Maybe we can go to the park then later?” She asked.
“That sounds great, but... I wouldn’t play any video games.” Christina raised her hands to her hips.
“And why’s that?”
“Cause Niall’s been eating cheezies again and the black remotes are now orange.” Louis laughed obnoxiously while Chris and I laughed with him.
“So what have you been up to lately?” I asked her nonchalantly as I buried my hands in my jacket pockets. The sidewalks weren’t crowded today luckily and the park wasn’t far away.
“Still working at Starbucks... but I get a lot of comments from customers about you guys. They always ask what it’s like hanging out with ‘One Direction’.” She imitated the air quotes.
“Hey I don’t think it’s so bad,” I said chuckling.
“I never said it was. It’s just different.” We turned onto the grassy patch in the neighborhood where the cool spring breeze whistled around us and sent a chill down my spine. She ran over to the swings playfully and sat down on one, pumping her legs back and forth to gain height. I watched her for a moment- there was no doubt that she was beautiful in every way. From her personality, to her face, to her curly brown hair, her dazzling hazel eyes and even the cute beauty spot she had on her cheek. I wasn’t sure how I felt about her but there was one thing I knew... she had stolen my heart.
