Angie's POV
I drove back to Chris's house, trying to forget about the small argument Ricky and I had gotten into. He thought that I should be able to tell him about my past since he told me about his. I wasn't ready for that yet.
I ran inside the house, still in Ricky's hoodie and jeans. Chris gave me a hug before wiggling his eyebrows at me. "You have his clothes on? What happened?"
"We had a movie date and an ice cream date and then we got into an argument."
"Again?"
"Yeah, it's nothing serious. It'll blow over soon."
Chris shook his head. "Daughter, you and Ricky are crazy."
"I know." I sighed. "Should I text him?"
"Um, probably, because you have to see him tonight and you don't want it to be awkward."
"Shit!" I exclaimed. "We have practice tonight!"
Chris chuckled and walked into the kitchen, opening the freezer and grabbing frozen waffles. He grabbed two plates and began to toast them as I began to text Ricky.
Me: I'm super sorry that I didn't have the balls to talk about my past when you did. I've decided that I will, but not in text message and probably not at practice. I'm willing to hang out tomorrow and we can consider it a date or just a conversation. It's up to you. I don't want it to be weird for anyone at practice or anything like that, so even if we don't continue our relationship, we still need to be friends.
Ricky: I'm not mad, I was stupid for getting mad. And sure, we can meet up tomorrow. Nothing will be weird at practice, and I want to keep whatever we have here going. I'll see you tonight.
Me: okay, thank you. See you tonight.
"There, now Ricky and I are on good terms," I announced, feeling accomplished.
Chris handed me a plate of waffles. "That's good."
"Yeah, it is," I agreed as Chris turned on the t.v.
We were watching Dexter and eating waffles when the front door opened and Balz and Ghost came strutting in.
"Thanks for knocking!" Chris yelled sarcastically.
"I don't care about knocking, I need to know everything that happened at Ricky's last night!" Balz yelled back.
"What about me?" Ricky asked, walking inside, followed by Ryan.
"There's a bell for a reason!" Chris said as Balz continued pestering me for details.
"Balz, shut up for a minute," I told him. He placed his hand over his heart and fake cried and Ryan comforted him.
Ricky gave me a hug, which I returned, before unlatching myself to take another bite of waffles. I took the plate into the kitchen and set it in the sink.
The guys and I walked downstairs and into the practice room. I took my place at the drumset and grabbed my sticks. Our first song we were playing was Reincarnate, since it's an easy warm-up.
Practice finished on a good note. I blew my hair out of my face and took a drink of water. Ricky smiled at me from across the room.
I heard Balz screech and saw Ryan pouring water on him. Those two - and me - were the troublemakers of the band. Chris and Ricky were the "band dads." Ricky still loved causing trouble, though.
"Guys, not in the house!" Chris scolded.
"Stop being such a dad!" Balz said.
Chris shook his head and stuck out his tounge. "Eww. Me being a dad? No."
"You're our band dad," I reminded him.
He rolled his eyes and walked out of the practice room. The guys followed him, all except for Ricky. He grabbed my arm and pulled me back into the practice room, planting a kiss on my lips.
"Thanks?"
"Anytime," he joked. "Wanna go get dinner? Not to talk about that or anything, but just dinner. We can go out again tomorrow, or not if you don't want to, it's -"
"Stop rambling," I said, kissing him again. "Of course we can go get dinner."
He grinned. "Okay, let's go. Where to?"
We began walking upstairs. "Hmm, fast food or restaurant?"
"Fast food tonight, restaurant tomorrow?"
"Good deal. Subway or Taco Bell?"
"Can we do both?"
"That's so fattening."
"Well I want a sub and a taco. So let's get both."
I shrugged. "Why not? Let's go."
Lmao I swear I'm not dating anyone who won't take me to get tacos and subs in the same night cuz I'm a fat kid.
