As soon as I wake I realise that I have slept in, as the sun shines brightly through cracks between the curtains. I open my eyes only slightly and I roll over to greet Magnus, but as soon as I do I realise that he is not there. I sit up and tilt my head as I fully wake up and realise that there is the sound of loud music and chatter coming from the other side of the door.

"What is that?" I ask myself as I make my way to the door, opening it and stepping out.

I immediately regret this decision as I find myself standing in a sparkling room crowded with loud and colourful people, and I am wearing nothing but my underwear. I quickly pull myself back inside the bedroom, furrowing my brow in confusion. I spare no time as I hastily get dressed and run a comb through my hair before stepping back out into the bustling room. I push my way through crowds of people giving me strange looks as I call out for Magnus. When I finally find him I place a hand on his arm.

"Magnus? What'is going on?"

Magnus is startled for a moment by my abrupt entrance, but then turns back to the guest he was talking to, a pale and thin vampire with deep red hair that matches what I fear are recently blood stained lips.

"So sorry dear but I must get back to you in a moment." He says before picking up her hand and kissing it delicately. He turns back to me looking completely innocent. "What did you say?"

I sigh as I grab my hand and pull him aside, into a quiet corner away from the majority of the crowd.

"I said, what is this?"

Magnus looked around confusedly, as if I asked the most obvious question ever. "It's a party."

"I know that." I reply. "But why is it in your house? And why didn't you tell me?"

"Well, you see, I have a reputation to uphold. By most I am known as a bit of a party king." He says with a smug look on his face. "I have been long overdue to host a party and I thought today would be an excellent day for one. It was a kind of spur of the moment thing. And as for why I didn't tell you, well I didn't want to wake you up. You look cute when you sleep. Your nose twitches and your hair covers your eyes-"

"I'm very flattered." I say, cutting him off. "But I still wish you would have told me. I just walked out into a room full of strangers wearing nothing but my underwear."

"And I didn't see?" Magnus said in a disappointed tone.

I sigh and shake my head, although I do have to hold back a small laugh.

"Ok, I guess I have to expect this kind of thing when dating someone as spontaneous as Magnus Bane. But...who are these people? I don't think I've seen a single one of them before."

"Warlocks, werewolves, vampires, Shadowhunters, the mix. It started off as only warlocks, but once the word got out the Magnus Bane was finally holding another party, I guess everyone just couldn't resist." Magnus loops two of his fingers through my belt loops and pulls me closer. "You know how hard it is to resist Magnus Bane don't you?" He asks as he looks into my eyes with a pleading yet somehow sexy look.

"Alright, alright." I say, giving in. "I forgive you, it is pretty hard to resist." I say with a grin.

I press myself up against Magnus and lean into the kiss, wrapping my arm around shoulders.

"Great." Magnus says as he breaks the kiss and slips out of my arms. "Now, if you don't mind, I need to get back to that vampire."

"I do mind." I say quietly, but it's too late because Magnus has already walked off, the glitter in his hair reflecting under the light. I shrug it off and walk to Magnus' kitchen bench which he has converted into a bar.
