ETHAN ONE SHOT

So I decided I'd write that today! I hope you guys like it and thank you for all the reads! I've never gotten so many. It's after the apocalypse. Y/N and Ethan are attending highschool together. Over the course of this year, you've began to notice you have...strange feelings for him. With only two weeks of highschool left until college, you find yourself urgently needing to confess your feelings, or you may never be able to.

Who am I kidding?  You think to yourself. Ethan is one of the most popular and athletic guys in school. He's absolutely ripped, a loner, and has the face of a Greek God. You sigh, picking up your backpack from off the floor. There's no time to think about this. You're graduating in Two weeks! You have to make a final decision for college, got to maintain your part-time job, and have enough time for your hobby.

You rush outside, right in time for the bus. The bus driver gives you a friendly smile and you give her a sheepish one. You sit down in one of the middle seats, near the window. You're one of the first houses the bus stops by so you always have to get up early. You yawn as you pull a book from your backpack. You're getting completely lost in the book. You've already read it three separate times before but you can;t help but to read it again. This book has been your favorite since freshman year. 

After about twenty minutes of driving, you feel someone sit beside you. You look up from your book- it's Ethan. You forgot how he made you feel for a second until you look into his beautiful ocean eyes, chest tightening, your face growing red.

"Hey, Ethan.." You say giving him a small smile

For once, he actually smiles back, making your heart melt a little.

"Hey" he finally says.

After those few words, Ethan and you barely speak a word the whole ride... but things are being said without words.

The way he keeps glancing at you, a light blush on his cheeks as he watches you read. He doesn't know you see him- You know this.  When the two of you arrive at school, Ethan seemed to have dozed off. You gently nudge him, trying to get past him so you can get to study hall, also known as Zero period. He gets up, offering you a hand. You take it happily and walk beside him into school. Dammit... why is he so quiet? In this moment... it's hard to tell what Ethan is thinking of- you hate it when you can't read people by their face or actions.

"Hey, Y/N. I was wondering if you'd like to join me in the library this morning..."

"Trying to get a last minute study session?" You reply playfully.

He smiles

"No... i need to talk to you about something."

"But... what about your other friends? The baseball team... you always hang around them every morning..." 

"Well.... This morning I would like to be with you. Unless you are against it?"

"Well- of course I'm not against it... I love spending time with you..."

You open the door to the library- it's always empty at this time. At the moment it's seven'o'clock. It usually starts getting a crowd at seven twenty or so. You sit down at one of the back tables, sitting down your bag and looking back up at Ethan, who's sitting in his chair, looking at you.

"Listen, Y/N...There's only 2 weeks of school left... and there's something I've wanted to ask ever since the apocalypse ended... but... I haven't had the courage to say it... Listen... I love you, Y/N.... i am madly in love with you... I have been since the apocalypse. I've tried to wait out my feelings... hoping they'd go away. A smart and beautiful girl like you is far out of my league... but.. Before we have to leave for college and I won't see you as much... I wanted to let you know"

You smile bright, almost i tears from the pure joy coursing through your body.

"I love you too, Ethan..." You whisper, hugging him. He gently kisses the top of your head.

"So...what do you say? Will you be my girlfriend?"

"Of course..." You reply, smiling.
