Background: It's one year after the apocalypse and little do you know, Eugene, Zion, Ethan, and Jay are all competing for your heart. It all started back in December when Zion was talking to Eugene about his plans to confess his feelings. Eugene seemed taken aback as he shared the same feelings for you. The word eventually got around to Ethan and Jay, who're in the same dilemma. Who will you choose?

You wake up with a long yawn and check your phone. It's been a year since the apocalypse and you're now on spring break. This year has been great, you've found yourself still hanging out with the crew from the apocalypse. Even Scarlett has warmed up to you- which was very surprising considering your interactions during the apocalypse. You two even hang out of the weekends sometimes and watch Netflix.

But today, you weren't going to see Scarlett. Today, you were going to hang out with Zion, Eugene, Ethan, and Jay. Even though you were ecstatic to be meeting up with them, you tried your best to hide your excitement. You slide on your favorite outfit and head out the door. You decided to skateboard there since it would only be approximately 20 minutes to get there. it was a beautiful day outside, not a rain cloud in sight. The sun was shining warmly onto your skin which increased your sunny mood.

Not long later, you see all four boys at a picnic table in the park. Zion was sitting on the table itself, feet on the part intended to be used as a seat: an annoyed Eugene sat beside Zion's feet, obviously telling the boy to sit properly. Ethan seemed to be resting his eyes, his head down on the table. Then- there was Jay. Jay had trouble getting along with everyone except Scarlett it seems but you have still made an effort to become friends with him, even though at times you feel foolish for it. You've always had a big heart and have wanted to be closer to him, but sadly, this didn't seem to be the case.

Eugene perks his head up when he notices you and a slight blush fills his cheeks. He raises his hand, waving at you, trying to get the attention he was not aware he already possessed. You flashed a shy smile, which Zion turned around just in time to see, which made him grin.

"Hey." Ethan greeted, eyes still closed- sometimes it's almost scary how he can just sense your presence. It has always seemed to be like that.

"Hey!" you greeted back, not able to contain your smile. All the boys seemed to be smiling, even Jay looked as though he had a little grin in the corners of his lips. When Zion thought you were not looking, he looked you up and down, taking in every detail he possibly could. A light blush filled his cheeks and he looked away. Eugene seemed to give him a look and Ethan a passive aggressive exhale. Jay just looks angry as usual. You clear your throat

"So uh- what do you guys want to do? I brought some food in case we got hungry." You say, a grin on your face knowing none of these guys had anything packed.

"You're the best-" Ethan says, excited as he's ever sounded. He starts looking through the basket. He grabs a sandwich "Thank you, Y/N"

Zion glances at him then takes out some chips "Thank you!" Him and Eugene say this together. Jay doesn't say anything.

"So," Ethan begins, taking a bite of the sandwich, savoring it for a moment, "What're your plans for this week?"

"Ah.. My mom isn't home so I have the whole place to myself. So probably study." You laugh, kind of half-heatedly.  This statement, however, seems to make Zion look excited.
