I was..... uhhhh

Harry's pov
"Where the HELL have you been!" Hermione screeched at us. Ron makes an attempt to talk but is then taken over by the Hermione once more.

"This is unacceptable! You have no idea how scared we were when you guys didn't come off the train, we thought you didn't make it! I'm sick of you two getting in trouble. It's like I must babysit you all the bloody time! Never mind explaining, off to your rooms, all three of you!!" She screamed as we headed to our common room. "Hermione, are you thick? They obviously were stopped by someone that didn't want them to go through the wall! It's quite obvious I mean if I was the last one before the two boys, how could they have not gotten through when they were right behind me?" I heard y/n tried to reason.

"No excuses, go to your room!" Hermione said turning on her heel and walking back into the great hall. "Ok MUM!" Y/n said turning to catch up to us as we laughed at her come back.

"So how did you guys not make it through the wall" y/n asked us as we sat beside the fire, her on the floor with Ron and I on the couch.

"I'm not sure mate. We were right behind you and it just, became a normal wall I guess" Ron said scratching his neck. "Ok, so how did you get here?" She questioned us. "Oh uh, we kinda took Ron's mum and dads flying car" I said embarrassed.

"You did not! And where exactly it this car at the moment" she asked. "I'm the forbidden forest" Ron and I said at the same time.

Y/n's mouth dropped as she stared at us. "Ron, you're doomed dude" she said getting up and sitting in between us. "Tell me about it" he said as he huffed and placed his elbow in the rest. "Well, it's ok. All that matters is that you two are here with me and Hermione, when she cools off that is" she says smiling at both of us. We all sigh and lean back.

"I missed you guys you know" y/n said suddenly. "My mothers gotten a little crazy now that my grandmothers has gotten sick so it was great to come back here and not have to deal with all that" she said motioning to a circle she made with her hand in the air.

"I'm always here for you, don't forget that" I say and give her a genuine smile. "Same here" Ron chirps in as she smiles at the both of us and gives a three way hug with both her arms wrapped around Ron and I.

We spend the rest of the night teasing each other about how puberty started to hit us. Ron made a joke about y/n's breast coming in and I give him the 'don't you dare' look while she awkwardly smiles and turns red, shutting him up. "Sorry" Ron said to y/n as she laughed. "Oh don't worry, Mione and I talk like this all the time, I guess I just wasn't ready for a guy friend to say something" she laughs and Ron turns red again.

We part ways as y/n starts to fall asleep on my shoulder and Ron and I head to our room just in time to miss Hermione come in and scolding y/n for something which I knew she wasn't going to take.

"What do people see in y/n?" I ask as the two of us lay in our beds. "What do you mean" Ron asked. "I mean like, what are some factors that would be used to attract someone to y/n?" I say, asking Ron and waiting for an answer. "Well, she's fierce, independent, smart and really beautiful" he answers to which I shake my head. "I wish I could tell her, I'm just to nervous" I say flopping onto my stomach. "Wait a year Harry, trust me. Plus, this year you can drop hints" Ron advised. "I guess so but, how do you know this stuff?" I question knowing that Ron would never do any of this.

"Oh, I Uh, was told this stuff form Fred and George. They gave me ideas of things to do to get y/n to like me but i know she would never be into it so I just ignored it and felt like you'd maybe use their advice. I mean, you two are really close so it wouldn't be as weird" her said. "You're right Ron, thanks" I say and turn the other way, closing my eyes.
