Lacey's POV

One year later

A hiss left my mouth as the IV entered my arm. I never liked needles, but if I need to get chemo, then I have no choice.
Being a werewolf I still have my hair even after a year of treatment. I heard I was supposed to be loosing hair by now. But a rouge nurse told me that my werewolf genes are giving me the perk of keeping my hair.
I still had so many scar. All of my scars from the beatings from Alpha Rowan. I still have nightmares from it.
I move from city to city, never visiting the same city twice. That also means that I go from homeless shelter to homeless shelter. I sleep there and that's all. I don't eat their food feeling that I don't deserve it. I always see the homeless men eating it and I'm scared that they'll hurt me if I try to eat it.
"Sorry about that," the nurse responded to my hiss.
"It's okay," I squeak.

After my chemo was finished I started to walk through the suburbs of this city, which was near of a forest. I never really liked going near the forest out of fear that I'll get sniffed out my a pack or Alpha Rowan will find me. But this was the only way to get to the nearest city.
As I continued to walk through the forest I saw a wolf pop out of nowhere. He was large and demonstrated power. But not one of an Alpha or Beta. He must be a gamma.
I immediately fell to the floor in fear and he pounced on me.
I felt his claws dig into my shoulder drawing blood. I let out a whimper and the Gamma responded with a snarl. I was only wearing an oversized, ripped t-shirt and really short shorts that I found at a Good Will store, so I felt really uncomfortable being under his wolf at the moment. He clawed my stomach causing blood to gush out of me and into the grass, which also caused my shirt to completely come off, being already previously ripped leaving me in only a sports bra. He then clawed my leg, tearing the flesh open, causing my blood to once again spill, my leg now immobile. A scream escaped my mouth as I was unable to stifle it.
I am weak. I can't even stop from screaming or whimpering when I'm in pain.
The Gamma gets off of me, walks behind a tree, and returns in his human form with only a pair of shorts on.
As he continued to walk towards me, I used my one good leg and two weak arms to slowly push myself away from him until my back was backed up on a tree. I already know that my eyes are filled with fear. He came up and grabbed me by the neck, lifting me a foot in the air so I would only have to incline my head a little to see his face.
"What are you doing here rouge?" He spat. He reminded me of Alpha Rowan, so I cowered away in fear. The Gamma raised the hand that wasn't holding my neck, restricting my air way, and slapped my face.
"When I ask you a question, you answer!" He yelled in my face. I didn't know how to respond so I just shook my head.
"I-I'm s-sorry," I whispered. A smirk made its way on his face.
"Oh you will be."
He threw me back on the ground and started to kick me in the ribs and stomach repeatedly. When he was satisfied with his work and blood wasn't just coming out of my wounds but also my mouth, he grabbed my hair and started to pull me through the forest by it.
As we went through the forest I was holding onto the hair that was at the base of my hair to make it less painful and whimpers coming out of my mouth. Eventually we made it to what looked like a pack house and he dragged me through a hallway and to a steel door.
Memories just started to come to my head.
The steel door.
The symbol of my captivity and torment.
I'll probably never see the other side of that steel door again. I'll probably be stuck here for the rest of my life being tortured day after day or be killed. I hoped for the latter.
He started to pull me through the dungeon. It was different than Alpha Rowan's. A bit more cruel. There was so much blood everywhere. The smell consumed you. You would see men and women chained up or in a torturing device half dead.
The Gamma the me in a cell and immediately cuffed my wrists and neck to the wall by silver cuffs. He grabbed silver knifes and created multiple gashes through my skin al over my body drawing more blood from my body in a single day than ever before.
"There. Now we'll see if you bleed out or not. If you don't we'll save you for torturing. If you do, the. You'll already be dead." The Gamma said with a sadistic smile on his face. I let out a whimper as he touched the wounds with his dirty hands. "Awe. Don't worry. You'll meet the alpha before you die. He'll be here in an hour." He said as he tapped my nose with his pointer finger before he stood up and left.

***

I don't know how long I've been here but I was definitely going to die very soon.
I heard the steel door open and heavy footsteps this down the stairs. The air shifted and I felt an aura of dominance and power like nothing I've ever experienced. I knew it was the alpha, but I didn't think an alpha could be this powerful.
A slight whiff of chocolate and peppermint filled my nose before I started to vigorously cough out blood.
The footsteps picked up the pace and before I knew it they were in front of the cell door. I was starting to look up when my vision blacked out and I fell unconscious.
