Adrian's POV:
The second the doctor stepped out of the surgery room, I had my warriors pounce on him.
"What the hell?!" Dr. Green shouted.
"Tell me everything I need to know about my mate and I may have mercy on you," I seethed. This man pushed me out of a room where my mate was hurt. He kept me from comforting my mate whenever I heard her whimper from behind the closed door. He talked to me in a disrespectful way and it's my job to put him back in his place.
"She was severely abused in the past. The Gamma caused broken ribs and leg. She's stable, but something's not right. I can't really put my finger on it. She's a werewolf, but..." he trailed off and didn't continue. This enraged me and o punched him in the jaw causing blood to come out of his mouth.
"But what?" I shouted in his face. Dr. Green spit out the remainder of blood in his mouth and continued.
"But her wolf died."
My wolf started growling and I felt him start to take over my body. He wanted blood. A wolf only dies when one is hurt and abused physically and mentally so bad, that their wolf gives up and leaves you.
"Alpha King," I heard Dr. Green call to me. I looked over to him, everything filtered into a shade of red from my anger. "You need to calm down. My Luna needs you." My wolf seemed to realize this and let me take control of my body bad. I turned to the guards and motioned for them to let Dr. Green go.
"You will never tend to my mate again. Your job is to find a female doctor who is just as qualified if not more qualified than you," I ordered. He let out a breath, nodded and lowered his head in submission.
"Yes Alpha King," he said. I nodded my head and entered the room which contained my mate.
She was laying on a twin bed which she was too small for. She was too skinny. She probably hasn't eaten in years. The thought made me and my wolf growl. How could someone treat something so perfect so horribly. She was too pale and her scars were very visible. The thought of my mate in pain just added to my anger. I never want my mate to ever be hurt. She leg was rapped in a clay cast and her chest was wrapped in gauze. The thought of Dr. Green seeing her and touching her to put the gauze on her infuriated me and I had to take in a lot of deep breaths to calm my wolf down.
I let out one final breath before sitting down on the stool waiting for me next to my little angel. I grabbed her tiny hand in my giant one and watched her sleep in peace.
