Chapter 11

"Are you gay?"
Was the first question he asked the moment I open the door.

I walk pass him.

"Where Paa and mae?"

"Went to a friend's place for having dinner"

He followed me in kitchen.

"Nong, tell me are you?"

"What are we gonna eat?"
I walk pass him to look in refrigerator.

"We are going out to eat"
I nodded and walk upstairs to my room to get changed.

"Mark, I'm asking - "

"Will you shut up, we are just....friends"
My voice trembled at the word 'friends' that makes him chuckle.

"Friends huh?.. .. I saw what was happening out there.."
He gives a wicked grin and I remember it.. was the same grin he gave me the time I had a girlfriend. And phi made my life hell.

He saw me with her at mall after school hours she wanted to spend time with me so he spyed on us and threatened me to tell Mae about it. And took my half pocket money.

But it lasted for only a month or so because we broke up and he told Mae.
"My son is handsome Of course he'll have a girlfriend"
Was Mae answer.

But this time its different. I know my parents aren't homophobic and Saint have no idea  about my feelings.
So it's just waste to let my parents know.

"You both were about to kiss!"
He whispers in my ear.

"What!"
I scream
"It was just a hug"
Well.... an awkward one though.

"Are you kidding me? It wasn't just a hug. Something is going on with you two"

The temperature around me increased as if someone has turn on heater.

"No... no.. its bullshit"
My voice cracks as I force words out of my mouth.

I got nervous about for what phi is saying.
Can it be true? Was it that intense?

"Uh why do you say that?"

"So... it means I'm close to exposing you.."
His smile fades and he now looks at me with seriousness.

I pour out my entire experience with saint and how he has helped me to identify my sexual orientation.

Phi isn't laughing or teasing. He listens to my each and every words. Like parents discussing their child's report card with teacher.

Food arrives and we are silently eaten. He haven't utter a single words just nodded in between when I was telling my story.

This is the first time he has taken something about me seriously.

On the way back finally he speaks.
"Maybe working in a bl series has this effect on you "
He glance at me.

"No. I don't think so... I always felt it within me. Do you think Mae will hate me?"

"No. She won't"
He smiled at me.

Days went by. First of all I was scared phi would tell everything to Mae but he did not. Well we are adults now and we should behave like one.

Phi even told me to talk to him. About any and everything that bothers me.

My daily routine is set.
First school then rehearsals and then later at evening studies. Saint is busy as well. He started staying at dorm again.
Sometimes we all do group study and even Nat joins us.
