Hey beautiful❤, today we will be talking about the P word I cringe at the sound yes I said it periods a lot of us avoid discussions on this topic but how long do we want to run away from it I think I prefer reading about it than talking tell what you prefer in the comment section reading about it or talking about it so let's get to the chase...
Periods is what we basically call menstruation, it is the monthly flow of blood from the vagina it is also a stage of puberty it occurs during the ages of 10-16 if it appears later it best to consult your mum and then see a doctor. Menstruation is totally normal it all starts with stomach pain called cramps around the lower part of your stomach then pimples/acne comes out then you get tired stressed out or angry generally mood swing which are all totally normal when this occurs you should immediately get your supplies for your monthly visitor. This are a few things to be on your shopping list
. Pads
. Tissue
. Baby wipes
. Salt
. And not compulsory a new set of underwear
HOW TO CLEAN BLOOD OF YOUR UNDERWEAR
Firstly you soak the stained underwear in cold water mixed with salt after about 5 minutes wash normally
OR
Pour hydrogen peroxide on the stained underwear and rub till the stain comes off then wash normally
HOW TO REDUCE MENSTURAL CRAMPS.
Pour a cup of rice in a sock then microwave it for 2minutes then place the socks on your pelvic
OR
Lie down flat on a bed or on the floor and begin to walk on the wall until the pain stops.
It's best to have a period calendar were you mark the day you started and the day you stop regular cycle lasts about 2-7days it really depends keep a record so as to prepare for your monthly visitor😉
HYGIENE CARE DURING PERIODS
- change your pad every time you urinate or use the toilet
- wash all period underwear everyday
- dispose used pad by burning or wrapping in newspaper and disposing it
- have a cold bath atleast three times a day
- use deodorant to avoid foul smell
