jaehee lim. best friend of yumi kim. second enemy, and also, new roommate, of jiyoung park.
but jiyoung didn't let that ruin her breakfast with bambi and mary, especially because the morning was more about bambi because she was going to be alone for the week.
bambi wasn't dressed in her usual skirt and tight shirt outfit, instead wearing a pair of light pink overalls with a darker pink sweatshirt underneath. her shoes weren't her usual platform sandals, but rather a pair of platform sneakers that made it cute when she stomped in protest about her friends leaving.
"let's go eat, bambi," jiyoung said, trying to pull the younger into the diner they had chosen to eat at. jiyoung and bambi were regulars and they were loved by the workers.
mary held bambi kitten bag as they walked in, smiling when bambi giggled upon seeing mary with the cute, pink and white bag, clashing with her dark outfit.
"no skirt today?" mary asked, touching one of the straps on the overalls.
"no, it's to show that i'm upset. and it's cold out," bambi added with a pout, making sure they know she was mainly upset because they were leaving.
"you look cute, bammie."
bambi was left blushing by mary's words but just kept looking down at their table. she listened to jinyoung order her own and her drinks while mary got her own.
"i'll probably sit with youngjae," bambi told them suddenly. she didn't looks up as she's still upset about being "abandoned". "who are you roommates with?"
"i'm with a girl named jackie wang?" mary asked, not sure who that was. she didn't know many people other than jiyoung and bambi but it was surprising to not know jackie.
"aw you're lucky, jackie is really sweet. she bought me lunch on my first day of school because i was confused," bambi told mary. she was trying to be optimistic about them leaving and she was glad mary got a good roommate, "what about you, jiji?"
"jaehee lim," jiyoung said, carefully watching bambi's facial expressions and seeing it drop a bit.
"but- how'd you get put with jaehee?" bambi asked, biting her bottom lip.
"i don't know. it will be okay, though. we'll get along and it's only for a few nights."
"who is jaehee?" mary asked as he was completely out of the loop but she could tell it wasn't good.
"yumi's best friend," jiyoung answered, "she completely defended everything yumi did to bambi."
they had to eat quickly and get to school because mary and jiyoung had to be there early to get on the bus.
bambi stood outside with them until they got on the bus and they she had to go sit instead because it was really cold out.
for lunch, bambi sat with choi youngjae, a boy she had known since middle school. he was very sweet and offered for bambi to sit with him when he saw her looking a bit lost on what to do at lunch.
everything was great. she was having a great conversation with youngjae until yumi walked over to them and sits down across from youngjae and bambi.
"you two know each other, right? i told bambi she could sit with us since her friends are on the trip, too," youngjae explained to yumi who seemed a bit too happy to see bambi sitting there.
bambi grabbed her phone, immediately texted the groupchat with jiyoung and mary just so she had something to distract herself with, instead of having to talk to yumi.

mary went to sleep when she got on the bus but jiyoung couldn't fall back asleep. she was a bit worried about bambi since the girl had always been pretty dependent on jiyoung, being pretty shy, especially when by herself. but bambi had told jiyoung that she would be okay and jiyoung just had to believe her.
most of their first day was just driving. they got to the hotel and had to get with their partner to get assigned to their rooms.
jiyoung pulled her bag into the room with jaehee behind her. but upon seeing that the room only had one bed, she grabbed her phone out to text mary to ask if she had two beds.
"mary and jackie have two beds, so they just messed up. i'll sleep on the chair," jiyoung offered and started to rummage through her bag for her pajamas.
once they were both ready for bed and jiyoung was sitting in the tiny, uncomfortable hotel chair and texting the groupchat, jaehee got up from the bed and stood in front of her.
"we can share the bed, come on."
jiyoung refused, so jaehee took matters into her own hands and picked jiyoung up, carrying her to the bed and dropping her on it.
"stay there. the bed is big and we can share it."
