Several days had passed since Will and Nico arrived at the Burrow, and now, with only a week left until Hogwarts started, Mrs. Weasley decided that it was about time she got everyone's supplies from Diagon Alley. Only Nico and Will came with her, as they needed wands and pets, and the rest stayed home to do... something. Probably play Quiddich, which was all they'd been doing for the past two weeks, Mrs. Weasley told Nico.
To say Nico was skeptical of the whole Floo-powder thing would be an understatement. What if the fireplace they landed in was lit? What if, with his Italian accent, he accidentally mispronounced where they were going and ended up in China again?
Will grudgingly agreed to let Nico shadow travel there, on the condition that he let Will come with just in case anything went wrong and he was unable to find his way back. If he were being perfectly honest, Will would say he knew that Nico would be fine, but his concerned brain always worried to much.
All three arrived without a hitch, and Mrs. Weasley set to showing the boys around this new little world. Will, for his part, was fascinated by everything and constantly pointed out interesting things, while Nico walked beside him, entranced by his boyfriend's enthusiasm. Both were so absorbed in this that neither realized they should stop until Nico ran face-first into a marble column.
"I did try to warn you, dears," Mrs. Weasley said from behind them with a chuckle in her voice. "This is Gringotts, the bank. I assume you need to visit a vault?"
Nico, only a little embarrassed, responded with a "yeah" and passed the offending column. Before him, huge marble doors sat closed, inscribed with something, though he didn't wait to decipher it before pushing the doors open and entering the building, holding the door long enough for Will and Mrs. Weasley to enter the building.
Both demigods were immediately surprised by the sight of goblins. The little creatures sat behind huge desks or wandered around the elegant hall carrying stacks of paper or bags of what was probably gold.
Trying their best not to stare slack-jawed at the magnificent hall, with its delicately arched ceilings (which Annabeth would probably adore, Nico thought absentmindedly) and showy-but-not-even-close-to-gaudy crystal chandeliers, the boys followed behind Mrs. Weasley until a red-robed goblin announced that he would show the boys to their vault. Nico told the goblin the vault number (13666, because apparently Hades has a sense of humor) and they followed him through the bank to a little cart that looked suspiciously like a rather unsafe roller coaster car.
Lo and behold, the ride down was even more terrifying than a roller coaster (although Will tended to enjoy the thrill of such rides, he had to admit that the blatant danger of this one was decidedly awful) and Nico resigned to getting in and out as quickly as possible and thoroughly avoiding the place in the future.

When a green-faced Nico and a shaky Will left the huge bank with considerably more money than when they entered, Mrs. Weasly was nowhere to be found. Shrugging, the boys looked around and decided to explore until they found everything they needed.
First came a crowded bookstore where the books looked like they'd rather eat you than be read, where they each bought a set of the necessary books which, thankfully, looked more or less normal.
Next was a shop full of little trinkets; gently swirling snowglobes with a fully-functioning town inside, figurines that walked and talked and fought each other, quills that wrote down everything being said- the sample one that was out had written down so many 'funny' things that the paper looked like a troop of teenage boys with immaculate handwriting had scribbled all over it. Will had bought a set of vials which automatically replenished themselves with whatever was last put in them.
