Should you tell your estranged family that they'll be stuck with you for a year?

The following week flew by insanely fast. Will was completely overwhelmed by how fast time flew in the wizards' company, between reading the course books on magic to catch up and trying to spend time getting to know the aforementioned wizards.

Will and Nico spent most of their time sitting in the bedroom reading their new textbooks. Hermione would often join them, obviously excited about the idea of other people her age who craved knowledge as much as she did. It was difficult to read big books with dyslexia, obviously, but, as is the norm with textbooks, there were lots of pictures, and as is the norm with wizards, those pictures moved and talked and would read the books to them if they asked nicely.

The demigods managed to read through three textbooks together (Hogwarts A History, A History Of Magic, and their DADA textbook) before the week was up and they found themselves, their pets, and their luggage packed into a tiny blue car and driven to King's Cross Station. Mrs. Weasley cast an invisibility spell on Lindi just in case some sensitive mortal saw her and freaked.

Will had never been to a train station before this point, and if he had to describe it fairly succinctly, he'd say that it was a bit like an airport, only much smaller, much more compact and crowded, and less like a shopping mall. He and Nico trailed behind the Weasleys and Co. (That's what he's been calling them in his head and to Nico) until they stopped directly between platforms 9 and 10.

Nico glanced around confusedly. "Aren't we supposed to be at 9¾?" He asked.

Ron jogged him with his elbow. "'Course. Watch. Betcha don't have anything like this in America," Ron chortled.

Will frowned and looked at the wall, where- what is he doing?

Before he could warn George that maybe running headfirst into a wall wasn't exactly a bright idea, the redhead and his cart had disappeared behind the wall. Will blinked.

"Uh. Did- did he just..." Nico stuttered.

"Yep. Yeah, he did," Will said, baffled.

Nico hummed thoughtfully. "Smart technique, some flaws but overall not bad," he said.

Will chuckled. "I can't help but wonder who thought of that. Absolutely insane."

As they were talking, Percy, Fred, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny had passed through the wall. Harry seemed a little unnerved by it, like a normal human being, but he darted through quickly when he was sure no mortals were looking. Then, Mrs. Weasley turned to Will and Nico.

"Your turn, dears, don't worry now. It's perfectly safe!" She said reassuringly. Will nodded a little nervously and ran at the wall. He barely stopped himself from swerving away from the obviously very solid brick wall, but when he, Meg the eagle owl, and his cart phazed directly through he wall, he couldn't help but stare at the platform he emerged onto.

A massive, crimson steam train dominated the space, humming steadily as if in anticipation of its departure. Hundreds, maybe thousands, of wizards were jam-packed onto the platform. Will only barely heard Nico emerge from the wall behind him over the din of voices and owl screeches.

Mrs. Weasley guided the demigods towards the train. She practically shoved them on, urging them to "Find a seat quickly, dearies, they fill up right quick."

Will and Nico stowed their luggage and put Meg and Lindi with the other pets before following Mrs. Weasley's advice. They tried looking for the Weasleys and co first, but their compartments were all full. Harry had tried to get Will and Nico to sit with him, but Nico really didn't like the look of that cactus Harry's friend was holding and elected to find a different compartment.
