Being a traveller does indeed have its advantages. Notably, a variation of things, all happening in the present time, that is witnessed in everyday life. At train stations, there is victory and there is defeat. There are signs of hope, impatience and even agitation. There are tears shed with joy and full of greetings. There are tears shed with sorrow and goodbyes. There are new beginnings of all forms and hard melancholy endings, inclusively. There is an agenda and there is pure fun too. There is even a sense of the good company and the sense of being at peace with oneself. Even to one's concealed amusement, there are catastrophes that occur whether it be from the station staff and the weather or passengers and unwanted inconveniences.
I think there is a time in everybody's life where they experience some kind of astonishing episode. Whether it does come from the staff or the passengers themselves. From something so minor like a light smile of some sort to something so significant like a simple but meaningful conversation with a person at random. It is baffling, to say the least, to acknowledge that there is so much that happens all in one place. However, to some of us, we pass it by with the slightest of thought. Not that it is negative, no. It is just what happens. That's just a theory though.
Not to mention, the river of people that enter and exit the train and the train station, itself. One can easily be dragged in as they can be dragged out like a rip in the ocean. Like a school of fish, we all go one way but there are the bold few that will go the other way, in order to navigate their way to their destination.
To even comprehend that there have been centuries filled with generations who have experienced all of the same conditions before most of our existences, could leave anyone in nothing but complete and total awe. Including those from WW1 and 2. That in itself is something that is personally thought about with a heavy heart. Nevertheless, trains in themselves are guides in our journey. They are too friends, and sometimes, even enemies when things don't go our way. Although, at the end of the day, you find yourself feeling and seeing all types of things at the train station. It is a blessing and a curse to be withheld, indeed.
