One week later...

Austin got out of the hospital two days ago, we're back at the penthouse. He's currently on bed rest until he's healed, doctors orders.

I've been basically his nurse for the past week, things between us are tense. I still sleep in the guest room,  I help him but other than that, I avoid him. He tried to get me to listen to him but I always leave the room before he does.

Alex was with Austin while I went out for breakfast with my brothers and the guys before they left, my dad left the day after the shooting, he didn't call me to say goodbye but it's whatever.

I walked in the pent house "Hey" Alex smiled at me, I closed the door and smiled at him "He's asleep right now but he hasn't eaten" I nodded

I thanked him with a hug which surprised him but returned it "Text me if you need anything" he said getting in the elevator

I sighed walking in that kitchen to make Austin lunch since it's 1 in the afternoon. The doctor gave him a strict diet so I made him two sandwiches and cut up some pineapple for him.

I put the plates on the tray along with a water bottle before I made my way up the stairs. I pushed the door opened to see him awake "Hey" he said sitting up

I placed the tray on his lap and turned around to leave the room but he grabbed my hand stopping me "Stay. Please" he said with begging eyes

I sighed and sat down on the chair next to his bed "Thank you" he said, I just nodded and look down at my phone seeing a couple text messages from the girls asking how I was doing. They had to leave to take care of some business and won't be back for a week. They didn't really tell me what it is but I didn't really bother to ask. I locked my phone "You okay?" Austin asked looking over at me

I nodded not looking at him making him sigh "Gabi, please look at me" he said making me look over at him "I'm sorry" he started off "I'm sorry for the things I said in the hospital, I was just scared when the guys told me they couldn't find you and the first thought that popped in my head was that they took you and I couldn't do anything about it" he said looking at me "I didn't mean to lash out on you. And I appreciate for everything you've done for me even though I don't deserve your kindness, I really do appreciate you taking care of me" he said with a small smile

I returned the smile "Now can you stop being mean and come lay down next to me?" He said making my smile to drop making his drop "I promise you, I changed the sheets and cleaned the mattress when you were gone" he said

I sighed standing up making him smile, he scooted over to make space for me. He continued to eat while I watched the movie that was playing, half way through my eyes were slowly shutting from how exhausted I've been "Take a nap" Austin said pushing a strand of hair being my ear "I know you're exhausted" he said with a smile

I slowly closed my eyes and drifted off to a much needed sleep.

I woke up in a dark room making me sit up "Hello" I yelled making my voice echo, I looked around the room "Hello!" I yelled again

"It's okay" I looked up to see me? "wha- It's okay, I'm not gonna hurt you" I said, well she said, you know what I mean "How- I'm the little voice in your head" she said making me look at her confused, she chuckled "I'm the voice you hear in your head for example when you heard 'I love you' that was me" she said

"We don't have much time left but I need you to be careful, you can't trust them" she said making me look at her confused "Who?" I asked "Austin and the east" she said making me even more confused
