Chapter 1, where it all started.

I'd finally made it. My final day of homeschool, I hated it with every bone in my body, I wanted to be normal, I wanted to be cool, I wanted to have friends.

But it wasn't always like that. I used to really enjoy it. I used to use it to connect with other homeschooled kids. But that all changed.

I'm Olivia Ward, I live with my family in Highland park, LA and I go to a normal school, but that's where the "normal" part ends.

I used to be homeschooled, I would sit at home (or at my friend, Billie's house) and do my schoolwork everyday. Billie was my only real friend but we were really close, almost like sisters.

We were best friends, inseparable, we would write songs together and sing them for hours every day after school, just us. Nothing got in the way. But then Billie's song ocean eyes blew up on soundcloud.

She became a whole new person, I felt like I didn't even know her anymore, she started hanging out with other "celebrities" like her, and cancelling plans to go to interviews.

I felt isolated. Alone. No one was there for me. So I did what no one should ever do...
