Y/N was happily skipping home from high school as she held beef that were her mother's favourite. She was close to their house's porch and was about to shout when she heard something heavy fall on the floor inside the house. She furrows her eyebrows and stops herself from making any noise.

She hears some furious murmurs inside and after a while, silence invaded the space. Her heart beats fast, not in a good way. She holds the door knob of the home she cherished the most. She heaves a deep sigh and pushes the door opens. Her eyes widen and her heart stops as she sees two men dress all in black with blood on their hands.

Y/N stares at them as she raises her finger to point to them and her other hand to cover her mouth as she sees her dearest mother dead in the kitchen.

The men immediately escaped by the broken window leaving Y/N broken and all alone. Y/N approaches her dead mother who was lifelessly lying down in the kitchen. Pools of tears well up in her eyes as she couldn't process what just happened. She kneels down as she puts the beef and her bag on the ground.

She carried her mother's body and put it on her lap. Once she stared at her dead mother's body, she sobbed and hugged her. Blood and sweat were being transferred to her body, but she didn't care, all she wanted was to be with her mom. She looked at her mom's clothes and saw there was countless stab wounds and blood.

Y/N was in so much pain that she couldn't even move to call her dad. She holds the hand of her mother as she sobs her heart out. She violently shakes her mother's body determined to make her wake up.

"MOM! NO! YOU CAN'T JUST LEAVE ME LIKE THIS!" Y/N says as river of tears of flow out of her eyes. She cries harder as she realises that it was too late.

Y/N crawls and gets her bag. She hurriedly searches for her phone and called her dad.

"DAD, I NEED YOU. MOM
SH- SHES DEAD!" Y/N sobbed out as she stares at her mother. She immediately hung up once she was finish saying something.

Y/N aggressive darted her eyes around the room and saw that there was something shining on the ground. She furiously wipes her tears and gently lays down the head of her mother. She walks over the shiny piece of metal and saw it was scuff links. She picked it up and inspected it.

Y/N squints her puffy eyes and saw there was a letter "M" engraved on the scuff links.

'M?' Y/N thought as she balls her fists and squeezes the material inside her hand out of anger and sadness.
