Johnny's pov

"Carson get your dirty shoes off my car seat!" Brynn scolded Carson in the car on the way to the beach.

We had split up into two cars;

Carson, Brynn, Annie and me in Brynn's car.

Kenzie, Lauren and Hayden in Lauren's car.

We had been driving for an hour and i needed to pee.

"Brynn can we stop at services?" I groaned.

"Yeah whatever! Annie call Lauren to stop at 'somerandomservice'

Then we stopped at a service and I got out to see Kenzie in front of me smiling.

"You okay?" She asked.

"Yeah, this is great, getting my mind off- well you know what" I told her and nodded.

"You need some time off John," she smiled and kissed me.

"Okay lovebirds! Move over I need to pee!" Carson told us, pushing us apart and running into the service centre. We laughed at how desperate he was and we all walked into the service centre thingy.

Once we'd all done what we needed to, we headed towards the exit until Kenzie yelled,

"Wait!" She looked shocked and I followed her gaze which was on a brown haired boy.

"Sage?" She shouted and the boy looked over to her and suddenly he looked shocked too.

"Kenz?" He shouted back and they ran towards each other and engulfed each other in a hug. Kenzie turned back to us and I gave her a confused expression.

"John, Annie, Brynn Carson, Lauren, this is Sage Rosen. We used to be besties in preschool!" She exclaimed and smiled at Sage.

"Sage, this is my husband Johnny," she introduced me to him and I shook his hand awkwardly.

"Hey man," he said to me smiling.

"Where y'all heading?" Sage asked.

"Beach Someplace" Annie told him, "You should totally come!" She smiled and Sage nodded.

"Hey, I was going there too, let's go together?" He asked and Kenzie grinned a huge grin.

"That'd be great!" She said and everyone started talking to Sage and asking questions about what Kenzie was like as a kid.

This all looked really fun and I wanted to join in but I couldn't, I felt a jab of pain twist inside me, which almost felt like....

Jealousy?

I couldn't take it anymore. I walked up to where Kenzie and Sage were talking on the beach and took kenzie aside,

"John What are you doing?" She asked frazzled, I pressed my lips against hers and she kissed back. We pulled apart and she smiled.

"What was that for?" She asked.

"Just felt like it" I shrugged sadly and she raised an eyebrow.

"What's up John?" She asked concerned.

"Nothing!" I argued.

"John something is up!" She told me sternly.

"Kenzie it's nothing! Okay?" I yelled at her.

"Johnny I'm your wife you can tel-" She started but I cut her off,

"My wife? Are you sure? Because a few minutes ago it seemed like you'd changed your mind with  Sage," I yelled, my jealousy pouring out,

"What? That's what you think? You think I'd betray you just like that?" She asked, tears in her eyes, "Well guess what Johnny, not everyone is like you, not everyone betrays who they feel like betraying!" She yelled in my face and stormed off.
