"The leaders arrived."

Lo and behold, speaking of leaders, they finally arrived. I breathe in deeply in anticipation of a tensed night. I hope that with Colby's personality, this dinner would still be a success.

My whole team are dressed in their most respective healer uniform that we got from the Citadel. It is an honor to wear them when a big occassion occured. I guess, having a private dinner with the werewolves' leaders is one of the them.

Unfortunately, I can't wear the same uniform, the same pride with them. It was designed with the crest of Citadel on the left side, right where the heart is, colored with royal purple. The whole uniform is as crisp and as white as snow. It'll be difficult if we are to wear it on an everyday basis. Dealing with stains and dirt will be a constant pain for us, hence, we decided to wear it only on formal events.

I am dressed in a gorgeous dress that reaches below my knees. It is very classy, even though I'm not yet officially crowned as the queen, I am already wearing a tiara. My real crown will be given to me on my coronation day.

My whole team stand up and bowed to the leaders. The boys except for Alex bowed in return to me, "My Lady.", they greeted all together.

I smiled, "Good evening."

I looked at Alex who is radiating off a powerful aura that even Dylan who's his Beta is being off with it. It intimidated all of us. I know I have to do something when Colby and Dylan stared at me then motioned their heads towards my mate. Right then, I got the message.

The boys seated on their respective chairs. I stood up and called for the maids to serve our food. I coughed a little and huffed to bring confidence to my soul, then approached Alex.

Even though my hand is shaking furiously in fear, I put my hand gently on his shoulder but when my touch won't affect him due to his paraphernalia, I end up sliding it to his chest.

It immediately caused a reaction from my mate.

He inhaled deeply making his chest more prominent before slowly releasing his breath to compose himself in front of the guests. I looked at Dylan who smiled a little and nodded at me to go on.

"My king-...", I started of with my own little endearment for Alex, I don't know how will I call him. He doesn't want me to call him Alpha or King itself, but I can't call him by his name only especially in front of guests. "These are Kate, Ricardo, Finny and Patrick. They're my medical team back in Citadel. They're also the people behind the success of the invention of the elixirs."

They stood up one by one as I call their name. After I called Patrick's name, they bowed their heads like they've been practising for years how to be in synchrony.

Alex nodded his head. I can't help but to notice his lack of enthusiasm in meeting my friends or more like family. I will ignore it for the night.

I smiled, and then look at the boys. "Everyone, these are Beta Dylan, Gamma Colby and Delta Lucas. Our handsome leaders and our protectors."

Colby chuckled, "You got that right, my Lady.", he said to me before nodding to my team. "It's nice to meet you all."

Dylan shakes his head in amusement, "Welcome to the palace.", he said.

It seems like my whole team released a breath of relief. Everyone aside from Patrick who is being murderously stared by Alex. I slide my hands up and down on my mate's arm trying to distract and give him a reason to calm down. I read this from a romantic novel, it's a sweet gesture that men do love for some reason.

"Everyone, please sit down.", I said the moment the maids arrived with our food. I went to my chair just as Alex stand up and approached me. It caused everyone to stand up too.
