                        -Gerards POV-

The moment I saw Emma I knew something was wrong. She wasn't herself.

"Hi babe"  "Hi hon" I stood up and kissed her on the cheek. "Oh right! Bob this is Emma. Emma this is Bob"  "Hi" Emma said quietly.  "Hello" Bob said smiling. "Emma you know you can sit down"  Ray said. "There's no place to sit"  She said looking around.

"Sit on Gerards lap!"  Frank said smiling.  I shot him a glare. She looked at me for an answer. "Come here" I said, gesturing her over to me. She sat on my lap. I wrapped my arms around her waist.

Everyone was talking and it was sorta hard to hear who was saying what. "Are you okay?"  I said. Putting my chin on her shoulder. She looked at me. "Yeah I'm fine"  She gave a reasuring smile. I know she's not okay. She keeps staring off into space. "You don't look okay..."   "Gee, really I'm fine"  I sighed. "Okay, fine"

I want to help her I really do but how can I help her if she won't tell me what's wrong. "I'm gonna go get a glass of water..."  She stod up and walked to the kitchen not saying another word. Mikey followed a few seconds later. I didn't bother to spy on them. Maybe she'll tell him and he can tell me what's going on with her. "Hey is Emma okay?"  Frank said looking at the kitchen. "Yeah I think so..."   "Well, she doesn't seem like it"  "Yeah I know"

They came came back a few minutes later. Emma with a glass in her hand and a coffee mug in Mikey's. She sat back down on my lap. "What was that about"  I didn't wanna seem clingy. But something was up, I know it. "We just talked that's all..."  "Okay... Um I'll be back don't worry"  We stoop up. Her taking my seat.

I walked out into the hall, going to the elevator. I waited for it to get to the first floor. I walked out through the lobby, and then outside. I took a walk. I don't know why I left like that. I just need to think a little. How can I get her to tell me, she's my girlfriend. She should trust me. I didnt bother to pay attention to where I was going. Some memories flashed through my head. As I walked down the sidewalk. Just thinking. About Lindsey... As much as just tried not to I couldn't help it. My eyes started to get teary. I swiped some tears away.

I finally looked up to see where I was. I was two blocks away. Shit. I turned around heading back. Brushing away some more tears.

I opened the door. "Well where have you've been!"  Ray stood up the moment I step foot in. His arms crossed, frowning. He looked at Emma then me. "I'm sorry... I just need some air that's all"  "Yeah okay" Mikey said rolling his eyes. I walked to Emma.

She stood straight up, looking at me dead in the eyes. She didn't say one word to me. She stood to the side. "Here, you can have your seat back."  Emma said, with her arms gesturing towards the now empty seat. I didn't know what to say. "Well... Sit down"  I sat down and she sat in the edge of the coffee table in front if me. She didn't look at me, she just stared off to space at the ground.

Did I do something wrong? Of course I did! I got up and left just because I took something way to personally that didn't even matter! Then I made myself worse by thinking of Lindsey! You fucking idiot! You could've had a nice time with your best friends and your girlfriend, but no, you had to be stupid and act like a little sensitive boy. I sighed. Not realizing I did out loud. Emma's head shot up. Not making eye contact with me or anyone else in the room.

Now what should I do? I looked at Emma then the rest of the group. They were all talking about some old movie. "Emma?"  I said, moving to the edge of my seat. She looked at me. "Huh?"  "Can we talk?... Privately?"  "Sure..."  We both stood up. I lead the way to my bedroom. Emma followed a few steps behind me.
