Chapter 4

The next morning, they all finally arrived at Camelot and saw mist and darkness. "Yeah, this eh don't look to good." Harry said walking around with the others. They kept walking until Gil tripped. Dizzy went to help him up until she stopped. "What's wrong?" Gil asked her with her having a mortified face. She pointed to it and he looked. He saw a face of a person covered in ash with dried up blood that was pouring from his mouth and nose but that wasn't the thing that made Dizzy scared. It was the fact that the body was separated from it and on a spear just dangling there. Gil yelped while moving away from it causing the others to run to his way. Dizzy ran up to Evie and held her in fright as they looked at the sight before them.  Hades Jr looked on while Harry and Uma investigated the body. He looked at a small smoke stream beyond a small hill so he walked towards it with them following behind. "This was no ordinary beast, mate." Harry told Hades Jr. All of them looked over the field and saw smoke and bodies either dismembered or on spears.

They kept walking towards King Arthur's castle to try and group up with his men but they heard a noise coming from the woods nearby. Funny enough, it was just a group of foxes so it was nothing to worry about. They finally reached the gates and waited for them to go down. The gates open and the drawbridge goes down so they walked forwards but to their surprise they find people running out with soldiers on horses behind them. Evie grabbed Dizzy's hand so she doesn't get caught in the stampede of people and the other ran to the side. Arthur finally came out on his horse with a wizard using a force field spell on the castle. "Ah, Hades Jr, good to see you." Arthur said. "Good to see you too but what is happening?" "That is happening and I fear it won't hold any longer, Merlin!" Arthur was telling Hades Jr before talking to his wizard, Merlin. Arthur was right as they saw the force field cracking so his soldiers went to evacuate the people while Arthur told Merlin to leave. "We'll help take it down!" Uma told him. Merlin got on his horse and rode off as the spell disappeared. Hades Jr and the other took out their swords as looked at what they were going to face. They saw a monster with spartan armor but it walked on two human like legs but with two bodies of two men on it. Their skin were charred and rocky with lava being used as a way to keep them alive. "One's got four arms, all wielding swords. How do you expect us to beat it!" Uma yelled but Hades Jr was quiet watching it. "Wait I read something on something that looks exactly like that. In my free time at work I read a monster called Makhai looking exactly like that and that follows the god of war into battle-" Evie was explaining before she got quieter and quieter. "What?" Dizzy said. "The God of War." Hades Jr said. "Arthur, you need to leave now. Go with your people. We are better at killing this than you are. Go!" Hades Jr told Arthur as the Makhai started to get closer. Arthur started to ride away with the rest of them getting ready to fight.

Gil was covered in dirt as well as the rest of them. They ran into the field while the Makhai was chasing them. When it got closer and closer it would spin waving it's swords around but it didn't make contact. "Spear!" Hades Jr yelled as Uma, Harry and Evie were trying to deflect the swords of the Makhai. Dizzy threw him a sword as Gil and her started to throw small daggers and spear from a distance at the Makhai. Hades Jr grabbed the spear from where Dizzy threw it and he aimed. He breathed slowly and closed one eye. He exhaled and threw the spear towards the Makhai's head right before he swung his sword to a defenseless Evie. The Makhai collapsed right in front of Uma and Harry and slowly began to turn into ash. "We have to get back to Ben's castle and get the gang back together. I fear this is bigger then any of us." Hades Jr said walking towards the road. "Yes, Shakespeare." Dizzy said making fun of the way he said his sentence also making Evie laugh.

They all made it back to the castle along with Arthur. King Arthur's people started to make tents outside the city since they liked the whole 1500's vibe. 'The God of War. Ares. Can't be.' Hades Jr thought to himself as they walked to the meeting room. They all entered and saw Audrey, Chad, Jay, Lonnie, Carlos and Jane was even there too. "He's back. Ares is back. Minos brought him back and now they are planning something." Hades Jr said with all of them looking shocked. "How do you know he is back? And how do you know Minos brought him back?" Ben asked. "The creature we faced was call the Makhai, a follower to the God of War. And as for Minos, when I went to kill him, he knocked me out with he Trident and when I woke dazed, I saw something that looked like the barrier of the Isle explode and a man stepped out. I didn't know it was Ares at the time." Hades Jr said as he got frustrated. Evie came to calm him down and they all thought about Ares being back. "Do you think we want's to open the gates again?" Audrey asks. Hades Jr shrugs. "You guys go get rest. You need it." Ben told them and they nodded and left.

Horns. Lava. Blood. Hades Jr looks over a large field filled with bodies and blood. He see's Harry and he runs to him to see a sword plunged into him by his own father, who lied next to him. He then saw Evie on the ground along side Dizzy and Mal. "No" He silently whispered to himself. He grabbed the two of them while caressing his little sister's hair, crying. He a flying horse fall from the sky and then all of his friends dead until he looked up to the sky and saw a large man filled with lava and behind him, a monster with crab legs and tentacles. He wakes up fast and looks around to see him back in the castle, sleeping next to Evie. 'I haven't had a dream like that since before the monsters of Minos' He said to himself. He got up to walk around the castle to clear his mind. He came to the garden to also see Audrey out there. "Why are you up?" He asks he in a groggy like tone. "Just couldn't sleep. How about you?" She asked him with him looking off to some hills. "The dreams are back. After months, they are finally back." She looked at him seriously. "What was it about?" "Death. All of you were dead. Then, I saw a man or monster made out of lava and a monster that had like crab legs and tentacles." He told her and then he started to rub his eyes. She had a questioning look to her face and she walks with him back to his room. "Get some rest. You need it." She told him before leaving.
