Once upon a time, there lived a mermaid named Madison. She lives underwater with her older sister, Rachel. Ever since their parents died when they were kids, Rachel has been a mother figure to her little sister.

Madison loves to go exploring with her best friend, Phoebe. Every day, Madison hears music from above the water. She and Phoebe would swim up to the surface to watch and listen to the music that's playing. They see four well dressed men with mop top hairdos.

"Who do you think they are?" Asked Phoebe. "I don't know. But if I move a little closer to see what it says on that big drum, we'll find out the name of that band." Said Madison. The girls move closer to have a better look. When they get close enough, they read what it says on the bass drum.

"It says The Beatles. That must be the name of the band." Madison said. Phoebe nods in agreement. "Oh yeah! I've heard about them! I also heard a bunch of the girls say they're insanely handsome." She said. The girls watch The Beatles play for a little while longer.

"We better go back under. If I'm not home by sunset, Rachel is gonna kill me!" Said Madison. "Good idea. My parents are probably wondering where I am at the moment." Phoebe said. As the two mermaids make their way home, they say their goodbyes to each other. Madison is greeted by Rachel, who has her arms crossed and doesn't look pleased.

"Where have you been?" She asked gruffly. "I was with Phoebe. We heard that same music from the past few days and went to go take a look. It happens to be a band called The Beatles." Explained Madison. "Is that so?" Rachel asked. "Yeah! And I can proudly say that I now LOVE their music!" Said Madison.

Rachel raises an eyebrow at her sister. "What? Is there a problem with that?" Madison asked. "You do realize that they could've seen you, right?" Asked Rachel with an annoyed tone. "They didn't see me!" Snapped Madison. "Okay, okay! I'm just looking out for you! There's no need to get fresh with me!" Rachel said.

Madison slaps her forehead in frustration. "Look, Rach, I appreciate your concerns about me. But, I'm not a little kid anymore! I'm 17 years old!" She said. "I know that, Madi! But, ever since Mom and Dad died, I promised them that I'd keep the both of us safe!" Said Rachel. She wraps her arms around Madison and traps her into a hug. "You're my baby sister! I'd never forgive myself if something happened to you!" She said.

As Madison relaxes in her room, she hears the music of The Beatles again. The songs they play echo in her ears over and over. They eventually get stuck in her head and she catches onto the lyrics that they're singing. She listens carefully to the song they're currently doing and slowly waltzes across the ocean floor.

If I fell in love with you
Would you promise to be true
And help me understand
'Cause I've been in love before
And I found that love was more
Than just holding hands

If I give my heart to you
I must be sure
From the very start
That you would love me more than her

If I trust in you oh please
Don't run and hide
If I love you too oh please
Don't hurt my pride like her

'Cause I couldn't stand the pain
And I would be sad if our new love was in vain

So I hope you see that I
Would love to love you
And that she will cry
When she learns we are two

'Cause I couldn't stand the pain
And I would be sad if our new love was in vain

So I hope you see that I
Would love to love you
And that she will cry
When she learns we are two

If I fell in love with you

At the end of the song, Madison couldn't help but smile at the lyrics. She wonders who The Beatles are singing about. Could it be her? No, it can't be. So, Madison makes herself comfortable in bed and falls fast asleep. She could still hear the music from the surface while she slept. But, she didn't care. It was relaxing.
