*Dahlia*
I stand beside Chrissy and I cross my arms over my chest as paul walks over to us and he says "I promise I'll be okay I'm not ready to leave you yet". I send him a raised eyebrow and he brings me into his arms and he kisses me on the forehead paul has been there for us through thick and thin. When others ran to look for there families which I can't blame them he stayed and watched over us he still leaves from time to time but never for long periods of time. He became like a father figure for Chrissy and I and she had started calling him dad but I haven't it's nothing personal or anything I just know my dad is alive out there somewhere trying to find me.
I run my hand through my dark brown hair and he kisses Chrissy on the forehead as well and she says to him "be careful dad be sure to stay away from the saviors". He smiles at her softly and he brings us both into a hug again and he says "I will" he breaks away from us and we interlock our arms and he walks towards his truck and we watch as he leaves. I feel Chrissy wrap her arms around me and she says "come on let's go help with tammy rose' and birdie's garden she needs all the help she can get". I nodded and we make our way to the garden and tammy smiles at us and we spent the majority of our time helping tammy rose and birdie garden.
Until it was time for dinner and after dinner, it was time for us to go to bed so we went to our trailer and I was sitting in the living room reading my favorite comic book which was 'Dracula Meets The Wolfman'. I smile as I turn the pages and then out of nowhere my eyes start to get droopy. I close the comic book and start arranging the pull out bed and I let Chrissy have the bedroom and dad when he's here he takes the other bedroom but this thing is so comfortable I don't even sleep in his room because I love this pull out sofa/bed. Then I slip into my pajamas and as soon as my head hit my pillow I was out like a light.
*Four Days Later*
I jump when Chrissy shakes me "dolly dad brought new people and dad wants you to meet them" I nodded at her and get dressed in camo skinny jeans and a black tube top. I tie back my hair and grab the old knife that my dad gave to me when I was a little tomboy growing up I walk out of the trailer and I see Chrissy already talking to some Latina. I make my way over to paul and the guy standing in front of him with an angel-winged vest I feel the air leave my lungs my dad had a vest just like that. I stop mid-walk and paul smiles at me and he says "dahlia there's someone I want you to meet" the guy in the vest turns around and my eyes widened when his eyes found mine.
My jaw went slack when I recognize the man in the angel-winged vest as my dad his eyes widened and I gasp "oh my god dad?". He turns his back on Paul and the other man standing behind him "dolly?". Tears start to roll down his cheeks I nodd and take off into a run and when I finally reach him my arms wrap around his neck and I cry into his neck. I never thought for a second that he would ever stop looking for me and he rubs my back and he says softly "oh thank god your okay".
I sob into his chest and I feel him kiss the top of my head and he whispers "it's okay sweetheart I'm here now and I'm not letting you out of my sight ever again". I nodd against his chest and after our reunion, he pulls away and paul smiles at me and I hit him on the arm "you knew this whole time didn't you?". He chuckles and he teases "maybe" I giggle and shake my head at him and he says to daryl "the reason I looked shocked when I first saw you and rick at the machine is that I recognized you from her picture that she has in her old backpack". I roll my eyes and dad says "dahlia this is my friend rick grimes" I shake his hand and he sends me a soft smile.
After I get introduced to everyone Glenn says "wow you look just like daryl" I giggle and shake my head and I reply "yeah everyone says I have his hair his attitude". He chuckles and dad punches my arm softly I bump my arm against his and he says "yeah you too kiddo". I smile and couldn't help but lay my head on his shoulder and he kisses me on the forehead. After my dad and I caught up, he says "your gonna love Alexandria" a smile crosses my face and I ask "can I come to visit up here Chrissy is here".
