(Mal's pov)
"Hey you." Audrey greeted me on Monday afternoon.
"Yeah. I'm gonna be late." I told her.
"Late for what? We don't have practice today." Audrey replied.
"No I have drama club." I said, then started walking away.
"Wait Mal. I gotta ask you something." Audrey stopped me.
"What's up?" I wondered.
"I want to invite you to a party on Friday." Audrey said.
"Really? There's a party Friday, then on the 31st?" I was asking.
"Yeah. I know. We have a lot of parties. You can come to the Halloween one too. If you want." She offered me.
"I'll think about it." I told her.
"Great. I gotta go. Ben is waiting for me. See you tomorrow." Audrey said.
Like I said before I wasn't jealous. Audrey started becoming my friend. I wanted to do anything not to ruin it.
(Friday night)
"M, you think this is a good idea?" Evie asked me as we walked up to Chad's house.
"Yeah. I mean this is your boyfriend's party. Why wouldn't it be?" I replied and asked her.
"No not for me. I mean is this a good idea for you?" Evie responded.
"E everything is gonna be okay. This is gonna be fun." I assured her.
Going to that party I thought everything was going to good. That was until we started playing games.
"Alright. So we are gonna play seven minutes in heaven!" I heard Chad announce.
A bunch of people sat in a circle in the living room as others sat on the couches or stood and watched.
"Who wants to go first? Evie?" Chad questioned smirking at her.
"I would love to." Evie smirked bad.
That night I had noticed Evie was drinking, but it wasn't her who I was most concerned about. Evie spun the bottle and everyone was yelling, then it stopped on a guy named, Harry. I don't know him that well. He's on the tourney team with Ben, Chad, and Jay. Other than that I don't know him.
"Oh!" Everyone was yelling.
Evie and Harry stood up and took hands and started walking to the closet.
"Evie. Evie!" Chad ran after her.
"Chad. It's okay it's just a game. Plus it was your idea." Evie told him, then went into the closet with Harry.
After seven minutes someone knocked on the door and they both walked out and sat back down. I noticed as Harry winked at her and I think Chad did too.
"Okay who's next?" Chad looked around.
"I'll go." Audrey said and spun the bottle.
The bottle stopped on Jay. Yes Jay was there too. He was really close with all the tourney players.
"Ben. I don't have to go. If you don't want me to." Audrey said to Ben.
"It's okay Audrey. I trust you." Ben replied and kissed her.
"Well then. Shall we?" Audrey held her hand out for Jay.
Jay smiled and took her hand and followed her in there.
Seven minutes later they came back out.
"Well that was something." Audrey joked with a drunk laugh.
She rested her head on Ben's shoulder and kissed his cheek.
"Okay. Next?" Chad asked.
"Mal! Mal, you should go next!" Audrey yelled out pointing at me.
"Alright." I shrugged, then I spun it.
I wasn't much of a drinker. I had maybe two at the most. But the Halloween party is a story for a different time.
We all watched the bottle intensely as it stopped on Ben.
"Oh. Maybe I should just spin again." I was about to grab the bottle.
"No." Audrey stopped me. "It's for fun. Ben trusted me. So I trust you both."
"Okay then." I slightly smiled, then stood up the same time as Ben.
He opened the door and let me go in first, then shut the door. Someone locked the door from the outside. We sat there for about two minutes.
"So how are things with Audrey?" I tried making conversation, but clearly he didn't want to.
He started kissing me. I pushed him away and looked him in the eyes. Then pulled his shirt and started kissing him more.
I ran my fingers through his hair. We kept kissing and just couldn't stop. I was mad at myself. I wanted to be Audrey's friend. Not the friend, who makes out with her boyfriend.
When the seven minutes were up we heard the key in the doorknob and stopped kissing. Ben quickly fixed his hair and we waited.
"So how did it go?" Audrey smiled as we came back.
"Pretty boring. We just talked." Ben lied and I smiled and nodded.
(After the party)
Jay was driving me and Evie home and all I could think about was me and Ben in the closet.
The next day at school I was at my locker and saw Ben walk by with his friends. He looked at me and we made eye contact.
Later we walked by each other and he stopped me. "We need to talk." He told me.
We walked into an empty room and Ben locked the door.
"Ben we can't do this. You're with Audrey and she's my friend." I was telling him.
"I know, but I... I can't stop thinking about that night." He responded.
"Yeah me neither." I said and he smiled. "But It can't happen again."
"Why can't it? We don't have to tell anyone." Ben said and walked closer to me.
I was gonna say something, but kissed him instead. I got on the desk and kept kissing him. As we were kissing we heard the door rattle.
"Uh..." Ben was saying running back and fourth.
"Unlock the door." I told him.
He ran over to the door and opened it. I quickly hid and saw Jane walk in.
"Ben? What are you doing in here?" She asked him.
"I was working on something, but I should probably go." He said.
I saw Ben look back at where I was, then he walked out the door. A few minutes later Jane walked out. Then I quickly ran out. I later found him at his locker and ran up to him.
"What was that? You just left me in there!" I was yelling at him and people looked over.
"Alright quiet down. Look I'm sorry for leaving you back there. I just... I panicked. It won't happen again. I promise." He replied.
I wanted to believe him, but at the time I didn't. That was until the Halloween party.
