Back From The Dead

(The next morning)

(Ben's pov)

I jumped up from the sound of my alarm clock going off. I quickly got up and got dressed, then ran downstairs.

"Hey good morning. I gotta go!" I picked up a piece of toast, then ran out the door.

"Have a good day sweetie!" I heard my mom call to me.

When I pulled into school I got out fast and ran in to find Mal.

"Ben! You'll never guess who's back." Chad ran up to me saying.

"Chad not now I really need to find M..."

"Audrey. She's back." Chad cut him off.

"No Chad, you're probably just seeing her. The same thing was happening to me." Ben was telling him.

"What? No dude. I'm not seeing anyone. And I mean it. I'm not seeing anyone.

"She's really back? And what do you mean? You and Evie broke up?" Ben questioned.

"Yeah after everything that happened she thought it was best if we broke up." Chad told Ben.

"Oh well where's Audrey? I want to see her." Ben said.

"Dude she's probably at home. I mean I would be surprised if her parents made her go back to school the day after they found her." Chad answered.

"I need to see her." Ben stated, then started running to the door.

"Ben wait! What about school?!" Chad tried calling to him.

"School can wait! I need to see Audrey!" Ben called back.

He jumped back into his car and sped off to Audrey's house. When he got there he was pounding on the door.

"Yeah yeah just a minute." He heard Audrey's dad say before opening the door. "Ben? What are you doing here?"

"I know Audrey's alive and I came to see her." Ben answered.

"Ben." He stated.

"Look I just need to see her. Please." Ben responded.

"Fine. Come in." He let Ben in, then looked out before closing the door and locking it. "Now she's upstairs, but Ben I gotta warn you. She's not her normal self."

Ben nodded. "I'll take my chances." Ben ran upstairs to Audrey. "Audrey? It's me, Ben."

"Ben?" Audrey looked over and stood up.

"How are you here? I thought... I thought they found your body?" Ben wondered.

"What? Oh! I guess apparently they found a body that was really decomposed and they thought it was mine." Audrey explained.

"So this is really you?" Ben checked.

"Yes it's really me." Audrey replied and smiled.

"Oh thank god." Ben sighed, then walked away to Audrey and hugged her.

Then he went to go kiss her. "Wow Ben what are you doing?"

"Going to kiss you. We are dating aren't we?" Ben replied and asked.

"Ben, you cheated on me. Just because I went missing doesn't mean I forgot." Audrey told him.

"But... I thought we could try again. It was mistake too. I never meant to kiss Mal. Can't you just give me another chance?" Ben questioned.

"I don't know Ben. I need time to think about it." Audrey responded.

"Okay I'll leave you to think. Will I see you at school tomorrow?" Ben said.

"No I'm not going to school for a few more days. Because I just got home my parents don't want me going out yet." Audrey answered.

"Okay. Well then I'll see maybe after school." Ben suggested, then left.

(After school)

Ben drove over to Mal's house. "Mal! We need to talk."

"Why? What is wrong? Where were you during school today." Mal wondered.

"It's Audrey." Ben stated.

"What about her? Is it about her funeral?" Mal questioned.

"No. She's not gonna have a funeral." Ben replied.

"What do you mean?" Mal looked at him confused.

"She's not dead." Ben said. "I went to her house today. I'm going back tomorrow. You can come if you want."

"Sure. I want to see her again." Mal agreed.

(At Audrey's)

Audrey was laying on her bed trying to take a nap. "No. No!" She jumped up breathing heavily.

"Audrey. Audrey, honey it's okay. Nothing can hurt you. You're safe now. Come on dinner is ready." Her mom assured her.

"Okay I'm coming." Audrey stood up and went downstairs with her mom.

She looked back at her room before going downstairs. She saw someone standing there, then looked away. She looked back and no one was there.

"Honey are you okay?" Her mom checked.

"What? Oh yeah I'm fine." Audrey answered and followed her mom downstairs.
