Dark mornings, every day.
Don't want to get up,
Right here, I might just stay.
Not all mornings are bright and sunny,
Don't look down on me,
It's not funny.
This negative space in my head,
Thoughts of you,
Making me afraid.
Deep down you do know,
You'll always remain in my soul,
But now, I'm letting you go.
Day in and day out,
You are all I'm thinking about.
While the rain pours heavily,
Come home to me,
It's you that I want to see.
Days, hours, minutes and seconds,
A moment I need,
Before it, all ends.
Lying here on my bed,
Ceiling above,
Will you fall on my head?
That devil inside,
Luring me in.
Hold me back,
Before I get lost again.
Sunny outside,
And dark inside,
Light me up, don't want to hide.
My soul is slowly falling apart,
Piece by piece,
Yet, you knew from the start.
Shattered here, will you pick me up?
And in your arms,
Hold me like a warm cup.
From the crowd I see you,
Enjoying your time,
And here I was the fool.
Dark mornings, every day.
Don't want to get up,
Right here, I might just stay!
