"Hold her! It's going to be unbearable if she wakes up!" I hear a voice say sternly.

I start gaining control of my fingers.

"She's waking up! Hold her Maggie!"

I hear the deep voice again and I blinked open my eyes. My eyes were first blinded by the light that emitted through the window. Then I was blinded by the stinging pain that came from my left shoulder. I squirmed but people held me down.

I looked at my left shoulder and I see this old man slicing the bullet hole a little wider.

"What?! What are you--AHHHHHHHH" I screamed in pain when he digs into the wound with tweezers. I see a woman with short hair holding my arms down. I see a large man holding my waist and a sheriff guy holding my legs. I squirmed in pain but the old man calmed me down.

"I know it hurts, but we want to get the bullet out and you have to be still to do that" He says to me. I didn't reply, I just let tears fall.

"It's okay sweetie" I hear a voice say softly and I see the woman I saved earlier, stroking my hair.

"You! You're alive!" I say but groaned loudly when I feel the tweezers move around in my bullet wound.

"Sh, just be still" She says calmly. I look around and see a bunch more people. My eyes found a pair or ocean blue orbs and they belonged to this boy probably my age.

"Almost!" The old man yells and I scream in pain, tears welling up in my eyes.

"Beth! Painkillers and water!" The man orders and I hear an 'okay' and feet running out of the room.

"Please stop. It hurts" I cry.

"Almost, just a little... Got it" He says pulling out a bullet in between the tweezers and grabbing a needle.

"Wha-wha no no no" I squirmed and the man ignored me. He just went for it and pierced the needle through my skin and stitched me up. It didn't hurt as much as the tweezer dive but it still hurt.

"Here, drink these" A girl with blonde hair appeared and propped my head up. She fed me a tablet and poured in water. I drank the water with the tablet and she laid my head back down. I turned to see the old man clean his hands and look at me.

My shoulder still hurt like a bitch.

"The painkillers will kick in soon, she might be out a few days" The old man says and the people who held me down, released me. I closed my eyes as I still feel the pain.

"Damn, did she fall off a fucking cliff or something?" I heard a gruff and deep voice ask.

"No, she got beat up" The short haired woman says.

The sheriff who held my feet came to my side and looked down at me. His eyes studied me, my face and my eyes. He was trying to read me.

"Name?" He asks.

"Nathalia" I sigh, the pain slowly washing away.

"What happened to your face?" He asks.

"What she said" I pointed the short haired woman.

"Why?" He asks.

"I don't feel like telling you my pitiful life story, you're just wasting your time, I promise" I reply. He ignored it.

"Why?" He asks me again more sternly.

"I don't know okay?! I do what they want me to but I always seem to do something wrong! Everything I do is a mistake! Me existing is a mistake!" I yell back and tears fell down my cheek. The whole room fell silent. Then sheriff had this look of guilt and concern in his eyes.
