Riverpelt lead all the cats on their way back to camp, he was keeping Ivy close to him to keep watch on her, since she was the most troublesome of the two intruders.
Sunpaw was walking between Maddie and Ashpaw, though Ashpaw didn't look so happy about these intruders.
"Ashpaw..." Sunpaw whispered to the gray tabby. He looked over to her, his angry amber gaze softened and he whispered back a low "hm?"
"What do you think Silverstar is going to do with Maddie and Ivy?" Sunpaw asked him in a low whisper as they continued walking. Maddie overheard her and turned her head towards Sunpaw.
"Who's Silverstar?" the yellow she-cat asked shyly.
"He is–" Sunpaw tried to explain but Ashpaw cut her off, "He's my father, and the leader of BirchClan" he said in a low growl.
"Ah, we're almost there" Riverpelt sighed as all the cats continued walking towards BirchClan's camp.
"So, Riverpelt, was it?" Ivy tried to start a conversation but she still heald her ground, Riverpelt just glanced at her as a response.
"What are you going to do with us?" Ivy asked with a angry, yet calm tone.
"I won't do anything with you, our leader, on the other paw, will" Riverpelt told the blue she-cat. Ivy stayed silent during the rest of the walk though Sunpaw could see that she wasn't happy about this at all, it looked like she wanted to rake her claws down Riverpelt's ears.
The group of cats finally got to the camp entrance after a long walk and Riverpelt entered first.
"Riverpelt, what's this?" Goldenbelly questioned as he limped to the blue-gray warrior and the others from the medicine cats den. Ivy let out a defensive growl to the big golden warrior but he ignored it. Sunpaw noticed that Maddie was shaking a little bit so she put her soft tail on her shoulder and whispered "Don't worry, it'll be okay, Maddie."
Maddie didn't look as worried because of her actions, and she gave her a faint smile.
"Nothing serious, just a few kittypet's we found while patrolling the border." Riverpelt responded, looking back at the two intruders. Ivy puffed her chest fur out, and Maddie stood up straight, still eyeing Sunpaw. "You don't see that everyday!" purred Swiftspark as he made his way to the group. Sunpaw happily padded up to her father, the two touched noses affectionately. She turned back to the others, and addressed both her former mentor and father to the kittypets.
"Think you can speed this up?" Ivy snarled, growing more inpatient.
Swiftspark didn't reply directly to her, but instead said, "I'll go and fetch Silverstar." The tabby then ran off into the leaders den, with Ashpaw following close behind.
"Cut it out okay...?" Maddie muttered to her friend. "Why should I? It's stupid that were even listening to these wild cats!" Ivy hissed back.
"Hm, this one has a tongue sharper than a clump of thorns." Goldenbelly whispered over to Riverpelt, who nodded in agreement.
"And so are my claws!" Ivy hissed, lifting her paw up, claws unsheathed, ready to claw off Goldenbelly's ears in a single swipe. All the hairs on her pelt rose up and her blue eyes gleamed with anger.
Goldenbelly staggered back, falling to the ground.
Sunpaw, without hesitation, went to help him back up, while Riverpelt began arguing with Ivy, and Maddie simply reminded quiet.
Many cats emerged from their dens to see what this commotion was all about, some looked confused as to why these kittypets were here, and others gave Ivy and Maddie hostile looks as Riverpelt dealt with the blue she-cat.
"Are you alright?" Sunpaw asked her former mentor as he was finally able to stand up.
"I'm fine Sunpaw." He grunted back at her. "But I don't think these two will be once Silverstar deals with them..." he growled as he glanced at Ivy and Maddie.
At that same moment, a yowl rose among the rest of the crowd. It came from none other then the cat nobody would stop mentioning.
"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather around The Pointed Stone for a Clan meeting!"
Sunpaw looked up, and saw her leader glaring down at both she-cats.
What was he going to do?
