Odd Love ~ Chapter 3

Heyhey,

Sorry this chapter is late, it's because of two things... Firstly, this chapter was really hard for me to write and secondly I just didn' have time to upload earlier, I've been out and about all day...

~Ava Pov.

The movie was amazing, and as we walk out of the movie I laugh about a joke Finn made while we walk arm in arm on a row with Mackenzie and Emma.

"You know, Finn, that guy Thomas really looks like you a lot!" I tell Finn while trying to pronounce the whole sentence without laughing. I fail, and because of that Finn laughs as well. And we're back at where we were, we had just stopped laughing because Rachel had come up to us and threathened to punch us in the face if we didn't stop laughing. So we stopped, but because of the state we are in at the moment we just couldn't stop laughing. Another five minutes went by while Finn and I tried to contain our laughterand eventually it worked.

"So everyone, hope you had fun, I did that's for sure and I am sad to call this the end of Ava's birthday party!" Rachel exclaims and gives me a hug. "I had a lot of fun, Rach, I'm sure everyone had!" I say and I see eveneryone nod in agreement. "We have to go now, This boy has been teasing me during the whole movie" Matt says and I hear various chuckles at his comment. "Bye Feliciaaa!" And gone are Matt and Collin. I Check the time on my phone and see that it is already half past nine in the evening. Wow, time really flies when you're having fun!

"We should go too, Kenz, I have to be home at ten." Mackenzie nods in agreement, but before they can leave I say "I thought I was your driver today, Kenzie? Shouldn't I be the one to drop you of at home also?" Mackenzie looks shocked and seems like she wants to agree but apparently she doesn't want me to drop her of as she says "I am sorry Ava, but I can't" She gives me a quick hug and a second later she's gone. For a second I just stand there, astonished at what just happend.

Apparently Finn sees I'm on the verge of tears as he pulls me to him and pets my hair "Everything will be alright in the end, Ava, if it's not allright it's not the end." Even though I feel rubbish, I laugh "Did you really just quote Ed Sheeran?" "Yes. Yes, I did." Finn says laughing "Are you okay again, boo? That was really stupid of her." I nod. "I'm okay. I'm okay" I wonder why she doesn't want me to drop her of, is she hiding something?

"Oh, look at the time, whe should get going James" "Yeah I should go too. You know parents..." And in a few seconds only Finn and I are left.

"By the way, boo, you have to drop me off at home. I came here in Rachel's car." I nod "We could have a sleepover! Because of my birthday!" The idea pops into my head in a second and I can tell by the look on Finn's face that he thinks it's an awesome idea. "Let's do it! We'll eat ice cream and watch bad chickflicks and gossip!" That's what i love about Finn, he knows what I need at what time and eventhough he claims he doesn't like watching chickflicks and gossip, I'm sure he secretly does, he does participate in it for me.

As we arive at my house my parents wal outside to greet us. Finn and I exchange a look, they never greet us like this, why would they today? "Ava, darling, how are you?" my mom asks me while hugging me. I awkwardly pat on her back. "I am fine, mother, I had a lot of fun with everyone. And father, thank you for letting me miss my lessons this afternoon. Rachel told me about having to take lessons this weekend to make up for the one I missed this afternoon." My dad smiles "No problem, dear. After all you become sixteen only once." He also hugs me. "Talking about becoming sixteen, have you got something to tell me" My mom coughs "I mean, us?" Oh God, now I know why they came outside to greet us, they want to know if I already found my mate. I shoot a helpless look at Finn. My parents don't know I'm gay. They once made a girl the omega just because she was proud of who she is.

"Can we please go inside first, I'm freezing" Finn says. "Of course we can, sorry Finn, we hadn't realised it was that cold." my mom says. Good thing wolfs are always warm, otherwise Finn's excuse wouldn't have worked. Because based on the wink he sends me I take it it wasn't that cold.

Now the scary part. Telling my parents my mate is a girl. If I had told them I am gay the minute I was sure myself, they would've told me it was just a phase and woud pass. But now my mate is a girl, they'll have to except it. But excepting doesn't mean they'll like it any better, and it doens't mean they'll let me stay and live at 'their' house. That's how bad my parents are. Finn says it's because they grew up in a strongly christian family, and my mom's brother got kicked out of the house when he came out. So yeah, that's why I'm freaking out right now.

"Ava, do you have something to tell us?" My dad asks, and I can see he's not suspecting anything. But why would he, I've had a boyfriend before. The boy had found out I'm a lesbian and left. He told me respected it and wouldn't treat me different because of it, but we didn't stay friends either because it was a bit awkward.

"I do, actually." I can see my parents faces light up, and I feel truely sorry for them right now. "I've found my mate, but she doesn't know we're mates yet. I want her to find out herself when she turns sixteen."

"Darling, I think I misheard you. Did you say she?" "Yes, mother, I did. My mate is a girl and I really like her." And all the hope was flushed away from my parents' faces.

"You're a disgrace to this family! You have ten minutes to get your stuf and get out!" My father screams at me and I've never felt worse then right now. "I never want to see you again!" My mom has a shocked look on her face and I look at her with pleading eyes, but she shakes her head and mouths 'sorry'. I should've known she wouldn't do anything because my father has her in his power.

Unable to do or say anything, Finn guides me up to my room, puts me on my bed and grads mysuitcase and schoolbag. He starts going through my clothes, holding up different pieces and waits forme to say yes or no on taking them with me. Most of my clothes are a no, because they remind me of my life here, with my parents, too much. Then he grabs my laptop and all my chargers and schoolbooks. "Is there anything else you want to take with you?" He asks,but before I can anwser my 'dad' screams from downstairs "Two minutes left!" I quickly nod at Finn and get up. I kneel down beside my bed and reach underneath it. As I feel the texture of the box I grab it and stand up. Without saying anything I put it in my suitcase and grab Finn's hand. "Let's go, I don't want tostay here a second longer than nessecary." He nodds, and we leave.

"Where am I going to stay now?" I ask Finn. "With me, of course! I thought we were having a sleepover?" He says and I smile at him "Thank you so much Finn, for everything. "No problem, boo. that's what we're Best Friends for! Now, let's not waiste time standing here, and lets go!" And we leave.

As we arrive at Finn's house, his mom opens the door. Finn's mom is the kindest lady you'll ever meet. She's the typical mother-mother, always worried about her children and every afternoon she'll be waiting with tea and cookies for them to come home from school. She's like a second mom to me. And when she sees my face, her mom-radar senses trouble and she worried about me "What's wrong dear, trouble in paradise?" I sniff "No... My parents kicked me out, becase I told them I'm a lesbian." "Ow babygirl, I'm so sorry" She hugs me, it's one of thos typical mom hugs. The ones I never got. "You can stay here as long as you want, Ava. I am so sorry your parents are so stupid." Despite my feelings about the whole thing her last sentence makes me laugh a bit. "For now you can sleep in Finn's room and we'll start redecorating the guest room tommorow, and when it's done it'll be your room." "Thank you, Esmé, but I can't accept that offer." "Nonsense, Ava, of course you can! You're already a part of the family!" "Thank you, Esmé, but let me at least do something in return. I can pay a monthly amount of money, for the room and food. Please let me do that." I see she's thinking about it, but I'm not sure if that was enough reasons to say yes so I add "My mother and father are really rich and I got quite some money from them, I can afford it." "Okay, but we'll discuss thing tommorow. Now, of to bed! You two have got enough to talk about and you'll have to blow up the air matress yourselves!" I laugh and hug Esmé, she really is a second mom. Then I grab Finn's hand and we run up the stairs quickly and fall down on the bed. "Thank you too, Finn, for getting me trough this." "That's wat friends are for, boo, I love you." "I love you too, Finny."
