Odd Love ~ Chapter 5

Sorry this chapter is reaaaaally late... I tried to upload it before midnight, but I failed 5 minutes. This chapter is really short because I was very busy with my exam week and I had to write this in half an hour...

~ Ava pov.

After driving for about half an hour, we arrive at the zoo. I'm really excited because I haven't been at the zoo in ages! I can see Rachel and Finn getting excited too, but because this zoo doesn't keep wolves we mostly bond with the coyotes or jackals. Sometimes when there's a new member in their pack, they're very agressive towards us but after a while they realise we won't hurt them. We walk to the ticket office and pay for our ticket.

"Where are we going first, A?" James asks, clearly eager to go and see the coyotes. They've always been his favorite. "Before we split up, I hae an idea!" Finn interrupts us. "Tell us finny, what has your special mind made up today?" Rachel teases him, and we nod. "Well, I thought we could split up and go around the zoo. We all get five animals and have to take a picture with them. A bit like a scavenger hunt." I laugh and nod, "That's a great idea! Let's do it!" 

We split up in two little groups. Lisette and James as one and Rachel, Finn and I in the other. Because none of us wanted to walk with the love-crazy couple. "So, what's our first animal?" Rachel asks. Finn checks the list we got from Lizzy and James just before we split up, and says "First animal is a panda." "Aaw, panda's are my favorite animals! Which way are they?" Rachel gets all excited, and looks around like a crazy person trying to see which way it is to the pandas. "It's that way, Rach." I say, spotting the board that says pandas. "What are we waiting for? Let's go!" And of we are, followin Rachel. I look to my right to see Finn smiling at me and I smile back.

"I'm glad you persuaded me to come to the zoo, Finny." I say "I don't know what I would've done without you." He looks at me "You would have made something of your life and you'd be leading a great pack in a few years." "Thanks, boo, you always know what to say." Finn is about to answer, but before he can we're interrupted by Rachel. 

"Yes, yes, yes. We're all really sweet and things. Got it. But right now whe have a scavenger hunt to win." She gives us a stern look. "If you haven't noticed yet, we're already at the panda residence." I turn to see we indeed already had arrived at our first spot. "Okay, let's do this. Rachel, you stand over there," Finn points at a spot, both Rachel and I let him do what he does best. "Then you, Ava, stad over there." He points at a spot about 60 from Rachel's spot. And I quickly stand at my spot. You don't want to know what happens if you don't do what Finn says if it's about taking pictures. Believe me. I did that once, and he didn't talk to me for the rest of the day, which is a miracle because Finn can't stay mad at anyone. 

Meanwhile Finn has already taken the picture and tells us where to go next. The meerkats, which are on the opposite side of the zoo and we promised to do all pictures is the order we got the animals in. We quickly walk to the other side of the zoo, which takes us about ten minutes. This time I take a picture of Finn and Rachel standing straight up with their hands together in front of them and a little row of meerkats in the exact same position in between them. 

"Aaw cute, guys. Really cute!" I exclaim and ask Finn what animal is up next. "The tigers!" I pull a sad face. Because Rachel and I have wolf blood in us, we don't gp well with cat-like animals. "You are so going to be on that picture on your own, Finny." Rachel half teases. She doesn't really like tigers, she almost got attacked by one the last time we went to the zoo. Finn nods "Thats okay, I know you both don't like them. But I do, I volunteer for this picture." Finn laughs. He hooks his arms in ours and we walk towards the tigers. Finn poses and we take a picture. "Guys, we've already got three out of five! We only need the coyotes and the monkeys!"

All by all it takes us about fifteen minutes more to get the last two pictures and we walk back to the meeting point laughing. The last picture, with the monkey was really funny because a little monkey came up and gave me a high-five. It was adorable and we named the monkey Mava, because we thought it was cute to name her. When we arriveat the meeting point, Lizzy and james are already there. We give them our phone with the pictures on it and we get theirs. The have a hilaric picture with a giraffe, it's sticking out it's tongue and in the picture Lisette prentends to grad it. There's an adorable one with a baby polar bear and the other pictures with the oerang utang, lion and jackals are amazing as well. 

"So, who won?" Rachel asks, and we laugh. she's so competative! It'sokay though, because we all kind of are. "We did!" James says. "No, we did!" That was Finn. Knowing these two, this discussion can go on for ages if we don't stop them. "We all won, I'll buy the ice cream!" I say.

The rest of the afternoon is amazing, and I almost forget about Mackenzie, almost.
