Chad was having a crisis. And a pretty big one at that. He was completely and utterly sure he was straight. And he was also completely and utterly sure it was perfectly normal to think about one of your guy best friends twenty four seven. Or how great his eyes looked. Or how cuter he looked with his hair all ruffled up. Yeah, totally normal.

He hadn't really noticed how much the blonde haired boy was on his mind until they started hanging out more.

He couldn't help stealing glances at him every chance he got, or watching him whenever he came into the kitchen. He even took notice on how fast he'd brighten up or how his stomach would clench whenever Ryan walked into the room, or got even remotely close to him. Even some of the guys had mentioned how different he was acting. He was convinced that something was going on with him, he just didn't know what.

He wanted to talk to somebody about it. He would've went to Troy had their friendship not been under works at the moment, then he considered consulting in Kelsie, but decided that she would ultimately end up telling Jason sooner or later, and Gabriella and Martha were totally out of the question. So he turned to the next person he could think of.

"Hey, Tay. Got a minute?" He asked hopefully, glancing around the resort's library to make sure no one was in earshot. She nodded and closed her book, pulling out the chair that was next to her.

"Sure, what's up?" She asked as Chad sat down. Chad sighed and glanced down at his hands.

"I honestly don't know. But, be honest with me. Have I been acting weird ever since me and Ryan started hanging out?" He asked.

Before she could stop herself, a small, knowing smile grew on her face as she said, "If you mean happier, then yes, you have been acting weird," she answered, nodding. Chad groaned and leaned back in his chair, staring up at the ceiling panels. "What's wrong?"

"No, it's just...I don't know. I guess I have been happier, but, only ever since me and Ryan started hanging out. He just makes me so happy and weird inside whenever we're together. What does it mean?" He looked away from the ceiling and at Taylor, a pleading look in his eyes, hoping that she would have the answer he was looking for. She smiled again and leaned forward, taking hold of his hand.

"It's simple, Chad. Answer me this, how long did it take for you to kiss me?" Chad frowned, pausing to think over the question.

"Uh, about three months maybe." Taylor nodded.

"Good. And we had been dating for how long?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Four," Chad sighed.

"Right. Chad, look at me. There's nothing wrong with that. And there's nothing wrong with what you're feeling right now."

"What I'm feeling?" Taylor grinned and shook her head.

"Chad, you might like Ryan," before Chad could process what she just said and protest, she stopped him. "Uh uh, just listen. Have you ever wondered why Ryan makes you so happy?"

"Because he's my friend," Chad stated simply.

"And?"

"And because he's a nice guy that makes me happy. Why?"

"Well for one, you never shut up about him. And you always find a way to insert him into every conversation we have. And you just get this look in your eye whenever you talk about him and you get all smiley," Taylor sighed, grinning happily. Chad rolled his eyes and shrugged, folding his arms as he did so.

"I do not get "all smiley,"" he replied. He paused, taking a moment to let everything Taylor just said to really sink in. He groaned and buried his face into his hands. "God, what if you're right? What if I do like him?" He asked, sitting up straight again.
