Family Meeting

Announcer: (on radio) It's a beautiful sunny morning here in Oaktown... The people are all out keeping their businesses. School is about to start soon, and the shops are packed. Today is going to be hot, so enjoy your last days of summer before school starts this fall. PEACE!!!!!

Andres turns off the radio while he was waking up, he checked his phone to see if he has any messages. He one message from Penny, and he has three messages from Antonio. Andres hoped that his friends are at the park waiting for him. When got dressed, he came downstairs to hear a unpleasant phone call that Big Dre was on. Andres hid in the staircase, so he could listen.

(Big Dre is on the phone with the landlord).

Landlord: I better hope you have my money, Mr.Ramos

Big Dre: I don't have enough cash to pay you yet, madame!

Landlord: I'm sick of your excuses, if you don't have my cash by the end of the week, I'm taking your children away to a foster care.

Big Dre: (begging) Please don't take my children, I'll do anything to pay you. I just need more time.

Landlord: Fine, since I'm being generous... I give it to next week, only one week. comprende?

Big Dre: (sighs) comprende.

(The Landlord hangs up)

Andres heard the whole conversation, and he feels sorry about for his father. Big Dre worked so hard to move to this city, and now he's about to lose his home. To make things worse, Andres is about to be taken away from his family.

Andres pretends he didn't heard the conversation, as Big Dre walks into the kitchen where Tamika was. She was feeding Baby Dre again. Albert was there too, he couldn't find what cereal to have.Tamika felt the tension happening, so she cleared off the table, and called everybody to the table. Tamika is highly intelligent.

(Andres sat at the table so he could listen to this meeting.)

Big Dre: Thanks Tamika. Well I have some bad news.

Albert: There's always bad news in this town.

Big Dre: It's seems like the Snax Factory is not working for me, and I won't be able to pay off my debt.

Tamika: Couldn't you find a second job?

Big Dre: I wish, but it's not easy, knowing the school year is starting. Lots of kids are getting after school jobs, and I am struggling to keep the one I have.

Andres: (angrily) That's some bullshit!

(Big Dre was shocked to hear this from Andres)

Andres: (looks around) Yeah, I said it!

Big Dre: I never heard you talk like this

(Tamika was impressed)

Andres: (yelling) We about to lose our home to that selfish asshole, and now I'm going to be taken away from my family!

Albert: (to Andres) What do you mean taken away?

Andres: My ''dad'' couldn't pay up the money for our landlord, so we have find a new place to live.

Albert: Damn, that's fucked up.

Tamika: I have to agree Albert on this on. (to Big Dre) How about how much to you get pay for?

Big Dre: It's depends on the hours,

Andres: Well...how many hours did you work?

Big Dre: 6 hours a day

Albert (shocked) 6 hours! Well it's no wonder you're not getting pay enough! We be at school longer than that

Andres: Yeah, Albert's right, that's not enough work hours.

Big Dre: Look guys, I know ya'll pissed now, but I just work for Mr. Proud.

Tamika: (angrily) Well tell "Mr. Proud" to give you some extra shifts, so we could keep our home!

Big Dre: That's not how it works, Tamika.

Andres: So follow what Tamika said earlier, and find a second job.

Big Dre: (offended) What are you doing to for this cause?

Andres: My friends and I are working hard to save or save from that greedy businessman... Wizard Kelly.

Albert: It's true, and his stupid son is opening that offensive strip joint in the Mall at Wizville to make extra money.

Tamika: Poor Penny.

Big Dre: How is this possible? Wizard Kelly has elephant dollars, now he want to buy our town.

Tamika: The fact is... we are not going to let this happen.

Albert (to Tamika) Yeah, I mean how?

Andres: (sighs) The bottom line is... We need to come up some ideas, and I think I have the way to solve both our problems.

Tamika: Well... this day got interesting.

After the family meeting, Andres apologized to his father for swearing. Albert and Tamika left the kitchen to get ready. Big Dre went to the living room, and pulls out his laptop to work. Andres waited for his siblings to come outside, as he was waiting, he spots Angela again who was by their house.

Angela: Hi Dre.

Andres: Angela, did you hear of all of that?

Angela: Forgive me. I wasn't trying to eavesdrop, I was waiting for you, and I hear you shouting. Your sister is scary.

Andres: Don't worry about it, everyone shouts these days.

Angela: I heard about the situation, and I'm willing to put my life on the line.

Andres: (shocked) Whoa Seriously!

Angela: Andres, you're one of my best guy friends I could have. I would hate to see you gone from the city.

Andres: (smiles) Wow thanks, that means a lot!

Angela: I know it stressful to help your friend Penny, and save this town, and sometimes you let your emotions get the best of you. I just letting you know you're not alone in this. We are all helping.

Andres: I know. I'm worry about my dad.

Angela: I'm pretty sure your father is finding the way to pay off his debt. He's a smart man. Right now, we need you to lead us.

Andres: I will.

Albert and Tamika came outside just to see Andres is hugging Angela.

Tamika: (teasing) So, this is Maria?

Andres (blushes) No! This is Angela, my neighbor and friend.

Angela: (to Tamika) Nice to meet you, Tamika.
