At the Brisbane aeroport, Lisa had her first moments in Australia. Honestly, it wasn't a big deal, she exchanged some money she had saved, drank a big cup of coffee and went straight to the apartment already rent with her roommates. Everything was settled and Lisa just wanted to make a big nap. The flight was really uncomfortable, due to be sitting there for hours. She couldn't sleep that much and was almost lunch time. Except for her portuguese timezone...
Her roommates greeted as soon as she had arrived, inviting her to eat. Lisa wanted to refuse but their excitement made her say yes.
Lisa was disoriented, she knew she was in Australia but for some reason it didn't seemed like it. Maybe because her roommates were portuguese too and because it was her first time in a different country. She was feeling like home tho.
At the restaurant they ate indian food and the spicyness was waking up Lisa, giving her some extra energy.
"What will you do as a research here in Australia?" Samanta asked.
"I'm looking for some evidences that lead me here. There was documents about ship wrecks in Australia, but most of them are here"
"I'm about to do some prehistoric excavations" said Camila. "How about you Samanta?"
"I've been sending some CV's for the local museums. Still waiting for the feedback"
"Wow so nice Samanta! I hope you succeed!"
"Thank you Lisa. I really hope so!"
It was at that moment Lisa received an e-mail.
"Twoset accepted me for the job!" the whole excitement made her almost scream.
"No way! Oh my god congratulations!"
"Let's have a toast!" Camila cheered.
The next day, Lisa woke up at 8 a.m, which she found it wierd. It was rare to wake up at that time of the day. But she wasn't sleepy, so she decided to find a place to drink some bubble tea.
"Hey mate, wake up, we have a lot to do today" Eddy heard Brett's voice echoing like he was on a dream. Or apparently he was indeed dreaming. Brett decided to open the windows so that Eddy could finally wake up. Sun light and coffee are the only things that can wake him.
"Hmm, what we have to do Brett?" Eddy asked a bit annoyed "I thought we would call a day-off today"
"Ok I'm lying. I want to grab some bubble tea"
"And you need my assistance, right? Is it again a girl Brett?"
"Fine! The bartender is cute and you know..."
"And you need me?" Eddy laughed this time "Fine I'll go with you. When will you settle down, honestly? " Brett didn't answer.
They managed to get to the bubble tea store. It was very calm, afterall it was only 9.30 am. They made their order and sat at a table.
"So, where is that cute girl you were talking about?"
"Hum... It's her day-off, i guess." Brett was confused at this point. "By the way, I sent the mail to our shirt designer"
"Cool, maybe she has already seen it? Let's see if she is on Skype" Eddy made a laugh almost like he was up to something.
"Mate, maybe it's a bit late to call her?"
"Maybe? We might need to give it a try. And I have something to tell you"
"Shoot"
"I'm going to start living with Sophie next week"
"Bro really?" Eddy nodded with happiness "I'm happy for you! We need to celebrate. Next Sunday we go out with our friends and of course with Sophie!"
"Hell yeah bro! Thanks for the support man!"
At this point Brett was already spotting someone. A girl walked into the store, alone. She was wearing blue jeans and a white top. Brett was watching her from behind. All he could see for certain was his dark brown curly hair that made him want to touch it. As soon as she started to make her order, Brett heard her voice and his face went red. Eddy was confused at this point, and the girl turned. She didn't understand they were there.
"Lisa..." Brett whispered.
"What? You have been digging her out?"
"I was curious! Am I wrong?"
"Well, we'll see if you are correct or not. But she shouldn't be in Portugal?"
"That's why I'm saying, I might be wrong"
Eddy took his phone out and called Lisa through Skype. They heard at that moment the girl answering it. The voice was indeed the same. It was her afterall!
Brett's face was completely red at this point.
"Lisa I think you are at the same store as we" said Eddy.
She looked around to see where they were, and joined them with a big smile.
