2 a.m.
The only sound she could hear was the cars outside the street. The place where Lisa was at, was quiet and still. Her roommates didn't show up because they were working, however she could already be sleeping, but the memory of being with Brett and Eddy personally was making her rolling up in bed with all the excitement.
She looked up at her violin recently used for long hours of practice. "It's too late to practice" she thought.
3 a.m.
The decision was made. Lisa started to do a new design for TwoSet.
One of her many flaws is related to the fact that she can't drink or eat until her work was over, not because she doesn't want to, but because she forgets to fulfill her basic needs.
The time when the sun rose upon the skies, was the time Lisa had realized she had been working on the design the rest of the night.
"Already 8 a.m?!"
Again, she was feeling the design wasn't perfect enough, but had to lock it up and have something to eat.
Lisa got out and automatically went straight to the same coffee shop where she met with TwoSet the previous day. Maybe she wanted to see them again "specially Brett" she thought. Unfortunately a romance wasn't what she was seeking. Not after what happened... Despite they are famous, she was going to treat then both equally.
"Hello, I would like to have a cappuccino, please"
"Hello" a misterious low voice was echoing in her left ear. Lisa shivered at thoa unexpected approach. And yes, that voice was familiar.
"Brett you've scared me!" Brett chuckled for a few seconds until he went back to his deadpan serious face, like he remembered something was not okay.
"Lisa are you following us?" Eddy jokingly asked.
"Well, maybe I wanted to see you both again!" Brett remained serious while Eddy was getting happier to hear it.
They made their orders, sat down at a table and Lisa decided to show them the new design she made.
"Lisa it's exactly what we were looking for!" Eddy said excitedly. "What you think of it Brett?"
"Well, speaking of it, I need to ask you to leave our team" said Brett abruptly.
"What?" Both Eddy and Lisa were shocked at those words.
"I don't like your work to be honest. And I don't think you are worth of value in our team. There are better designers than you, you know?"
"Brett are you serious" Eddy came out of a few moments of silence. "You are so not like this"
"I'm serious Eddy and period!" he demanded.
Another moment of silence was followed by those words.
Lisa was not sad. She was mad! Kept looking at Brett's eyes who was avoiding that eye contact.
"Brett it's so nice to see you again!" one of the bartenders came with a full smile towards him.
"Hey Amanda, nice to see you too!" Brett felt somehow relieved and cheerfull.
"Hey Cintya, see I told you I knew TwoSet personally."
"Omg can I take a pic with you please?"
They took a picture. Eddy wasn't feeling well to be fair and Brett avoided to look again at Lisa who kept looking at him.
"Omg I can't believe I have a picture with you guys! Thank you! Bye!" and she left.
"Thank you she really wanted a lot a picture with you. We talk later." She winked at Brett and left.
"Let me get this straight. You don't need me 'cause I'm a total failure in your team." Lisa started.
"Lisa I swear I know nothing about this deci..."
"It's okay Eddy. I understand it's Brett's idea." She went to face Brett "You may not appreciate my designs but for what I'm concerned, you should have told me that right from the beginning" Brett seemed he wanted to say something but Lisa interrupted him. "Is it because I'm here in front of you? I'm sorry if I don't correspond with your expectations. But at least I'm not using you just like I saw using you right now. Next time you decide to talk to me just at least try to not lie in my face! What a waste of time."
With those words, Brett was speechless and Lisa walked through the door.
"What the hell was that, Brett?"
He remained silent. First he was regreted for falling in love with her, because she might have a boyfriend, and now he felt worse now that she might not talk to him again.
"I lost her, Eddy"
