We’ve been to the mall to buy some clothes. And I noticed that almost all the girls in the place can’t take their eyes off Kellan.
He really is a chick magnet whether he intends that or not. And I can’t blame these girls.
Kellan is so attractive and even his simple gestures can make a girl fall for him. I don't know if its his vampire side or if it's already an innate talent. Either way, he's really handsome.
I was in the ladies’ section and I could see how a sales lady tried her best to catch Kellan’s attention. But he paid no attention. He seems preoccupied with something else.
“Is everything all right?” I asked.
“Yeah,” he smiled. “Are you done with your shopping?”
“Yes. Let’s go?” I smiled at him as he took the shopping bags from my hands.
We went to a restaurant not far from the boutique. The ambiance is cosy and the view is relaxing. It is located near the edge of cliff and right outside we can see the fog that slowly envelopes the perfect cone.
“It’s quite relaxing up here. If I own a house, I’d prefer it to be located in a place near floras and faunas.” I said in a low voice but I know Kellan heard it.
After all, he has sharper hearing ability than most of the people in this place.
“If everything is already fine, you can do whatever you want to do. I’ll help you.” Kellan said.
“I hope this nightmare will end soon.”
“Am I part of that nightmare?”
“Of course not. Don’t be so ridiculous.”
“You really believe that I will not do anything to harm you. Am I correct, Kara?.”
“It’s obvious. I do trust you.” I said then looked straight into his eyes.
“What’s with the question?”
“Nothing. Never mind. I’m just being silly.” He smiled.
He really is someone unpredictable.
Nightfall came.
Kellan was out doing his “hunting” thing so I was stuck at the hotel alone. It’s kind of boring me out.
So I decided to go to the hotel’s rooftop to have some fresh air.
The cool breeze kisses my cheeks as I stayed at the rooftop. Half of the world was now asleep.
I wonder what Natalie and Arthur had been doing right at this very moment. And Keith, is he all right? I miss my bestfriend.
A lot.
I wonder what he’s been up to. My thoughts were interrupted when I heard movements from behind me.
Horror filled my being when I saw two godly creatures standing a few feet away from me.
“We’ve found you, at last.” Said the one at the right.
“We’ve been looking for you, Chosen One.” Said the one from the left.
“Stay away. Or else I’ll call Kellan.” I backed away. It’s a dead end but I’d rather kill myself than give them my blood.
“Oh, Kellan is a few miles away from us. We know that he’s been hunting that is why we grabbed the opportunity of befriending you.” He smirked.
“Stay back or I’ll jump. I mean it.” I said. I really meant what I said but the two just laughed. Then stared at me with those cold-blooded eyes.
Kellan, where are you.. Kellan…
Seeing them approach my way, I took another step back then jumped right off the rooftop.
I see them vanish and they appeared at the ground floor of the hotel. They really are serious about getting their hands on me.
I was moving, head first, toward the ground and the gravity pulls me faster. I closed my eyes.
I saw mom and dad’s faces. They were both smiling. I also saw Keith.
And Kellan. My protector. I wonder what he’ll feel if I die right now. Maybe, he’ll blame himself again.
“I’m so sorry..” I uttered softly.
That is for my mom, dad and bestfriend whom I promised that I will come back.
And I also feel sorry for Kellan because I was not that strong to fight these monsters.
Before my body hit the ground, I felt a sudden jolt and I stopped halfway. Someone’s holding my right foot.
Relief filled my being when I saw Kellan’s worried face. He pulled me into the veranda of one of the hotel’s rooms at the second floor.
“What on Earth are you doing!!!” he snarled. He looked so pissed.
“They are trying to catch me. I’d rather kill myself than to let them have me.”
“They can’t have you as long as I’m here.”
“I’m sorry..” I said but I looked at him in horror when I remembered the two monsters outside.
“They were still outside.”
“I’ve already taken care of that.” He smiled.
“I’m sorry, Kellan. I’m such a weakling.”
“It’s alright. That’s the reason why I’m here. Didn’t I tell you that I’m going to protect you no matter what?”
“Thank You. How’d you know that I’m in trouble?”
“I just felt it. Or should I say.. I heard your thoughts. You’re calling out to me a while ago, am I right?”
“Yes..”
“We’re somehow connected with each other, Kara.” He smiled.
“We need to pack. We have to go somewhere safe for you.”
SAFE?
Where can we find a safe place where no vampire dwells? I’m sick and tired of this hide and seek. Why do I always have to live this way?
