"You paged me Randolph?" Kit said, walking into his office.
"Yes I did. Please, take a seat."
Kit took a seat on the couch to be joined by Randolph at her side. "Am I here so we can talk about your freak out in the ER?"
    "Yes. Yes we are."
"Well why don't you start us off? Go at your own pace and if you want to stop then just tell me."
Bell took a deep breath. There was no going back now. Time to talk.

It was around 10:30 that night, and it was pretty dark for that time. Storm clouds swam above the tall standing forest of trees that the Bell family drove through. They were on a long winding two way road, with no streetlights leaving only the headlights of the car to show the way. Randolph's parents had been on this road many times, so no one thought this time would be any different from the others.
It got darker and darker as they went along. Randolph kept his eyes on the passing trees outside, his eyelids slowly drooping closed. It was quiet in the car, and it was nice. Then suddenly bright flashing headlights started screaming towards them.
"What the hell is this guy doing?" Muttered Randolph's dad which made Randolph raise his head to look at the bright lights ahead. Before he could even process what was happening the opposing car came screaming at them. Before Randolph's dad could steer the car out of the way they head on crashed into the other car. Randolph's eyes squeezed shut as he the seatbelt caught him, taking the air out of him. Something sliced into his shoulder, making Bell yell in pain. He sat in the back in complete shock, unable to move. His hearing went in and out and his vision blurred. He tried to raise his head but his head throbbed. The sound of his dad yelling snapped him out of his cloud of confusion.
"Randolph!" His father yelled to the best of his ability. Randolph raised his head and leaned against the front seats.
"Dad. Are you alright?" Randolph responded weakly.
"Save your mom! I'll be fine!"
Randolph looked into the seat where his mom was sitting to not find her. He looked up at the windshield to find a huge hole in it. "Mom? Mom!?" Randolph opened the car door as fast as he could and looked out at the monstrous wreck before him. The other car was on its side right next to his car. It was smoking a little but Bell didn't care as he scanned the area for him mom. Then he saw her limp body on the floor. Randolph limped to her as fast as he could as lightning cracked overhead followed by a roar of thunder. "Mom!" Randolph fell to his knees as he checked her vitals. He couldn't find a pulse as he started to panic. "Shit, shit, shit! No!" He started to perform CPR, as he muttered and cursed under his breath. "Come back to me. Don't leave me." His voice cracked as tears started to stream down his face.
After what seemed like hours but only a few minutes, Randolph's arms gave out. He buried his head into her bloody chest as tears began to roll down his face, soaking her shirt. He dug his fingers into her clothing as he tried to suppress his sobs. He couldn't keep it in and he screamed at the top of his lungs, only for it to die out into a whimper. He couldn't save her. He was a doctor! He should've been able to. He started to feel dizzy as he slowly looked up from his mom. His eyes panned to his shoulder where a shard of glass was poking out of his skin. Blood soaked his white shirt and ran down to his pants. "Shit." He began to diagnose himself but the scream of his dad snapped him out of his funk. He looked at his dad, still trapped in the car. "Dad." Randolph weakly rose to his feet and he began to walk towards him. A high pitched whistle began to fill his ears. He tried to clean out his ear with his finger to try to get the sound out but it wouldn't leave. It actually wasn't in his ear at all. He looked around in confusion, trying to locate the noise. Then his eyes fell on the car on its side right next to his dad's car. It was making a loud whistling noise as smoke was shooting out of it. "Shit. Dad!" Before he could even take a step the other car went up in flames and exploded, sending Bell back onto his shoulder with the glass. He yelped as his shoulder scraped on the floor. He rolled to his back and attempted to catch his breath, only to be sent into a flurry of painful coughs. He curled up into a ball as the tears came again and ran down his face. He sobbed and didn't try to keep it down. He let it out as rain began to fall upon the concrete and hit the flames of the explosion. He didn't even notice an ambulance arrive and people walk up from their parked cars to try to help. Randolph just sobbed as the rain began to pour down. He just lost everything, and he couldn't save anyone. "I couldn't save her," he whimpered.
"I couldn't save her."
