You just stared at the prince with your soulmate mark for a good five minutes at least. Your mind just couldn't comprehend that you were supposed to spend your whole life with him.

Damn. He's actually good looking, and it's not just those filters they put on people in magazines.

You saw him slowly starting to walk towards to you, and suddenly you couldn't take it anymore. All the people staring at you. The stress of the elders lurking somewhere. And your soulmate prince walking to you, like it was something straight out of a movie.

Before he was even close to reaching you, you felt tears brimming in your eyes, for absolutely no reason. Quickly, you turned around and pushed through all the people blocking your way to the exit. You felt everybody's shock at your sudden departure clinging to your skin, as you sprinted out of the building.

You got outside and tried to breathe in the fresh air, but you just couldn't. You were sobbing, but barely comprehending that you were. Your mother's dress felt like it weighed ten thousand pounds, and you were finding it harder and harder to keep moving.

Eventually, you just fell to your knees in the middle of the palace gardens, put your face in your hands, and continued to sob. You were so out of it, you didn't hear someone's footsteps behind you or their heavy breathing.

"Dang, am I really that bad," you heard a deep voice say.

You turned around and saw the prince standing right behind you. Immediately, it was easier to breathe and you felt a strange sense of comfort you hadn't felt for years.

The prince's eyes widened as he saw what state you were in.

"Are you okay?" he asked, and even though his voice was pretty dang deep, it sounded comforting and innocent.

"I-I'm just u-under a lot of s-stress," you replied, your voice had never sounded this shaky and weak. You were shocked at yourself for being like this.

"I think you just had a panic attack after seeing me..." the prince said, and even though you could hear the humor behind his voice, he also sounded guilty.

"It's not because of you," you scowled. He looked a bit sad, but you weren't sorry. You weren't gonna be fooled by his act. His family had destroyed your life and District.

"It's because of what you stand for. I can't be with you," you spit out your words, as if he were the lowlife from District 9, and you were the princess.

With each of your words, the prince's eyes grew wider, and you saw tears begin to brim in his eyes. You felt a pang if guilt in your stomach, but you ignored it. He deserved it.

"Your not in the right mind," the prince said, shaking his head.

"What are you talking about?" you yelled, "I know exactly what I'm talking about, y-your not in the right mind to say that!!!!"

You did sound absolutely ridiculous, but you had just had a panic attack, so you didn't realize it.

Suddenly, the prince picked you up in bridal style, and started carrying you somewhere.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING??!" you screamed at him, pretty sure everyone could hear you, but no one was coming to help you, "PUT ME DOWN RIGHT NOW! I'M NOT JUST SOMETHING YOU CAN PICK UP AND CARRY AROUND LIKE A PURSE! I CAN MOVE AT MY OWN PACE!!"

The prince didn't make any move to put you down. You easily could've knocked him out and ran away with your training. But something inside you told you to just let it happen.

"LET. ME. GO." with each word you slapped his arm, but he just looked at you like you were crazy, which was probably true. You glared at him.

You yelled at him more, but he didn't put you down, so eventually you gave up, and just got comfortable in his arms. Slowly, you felt yourself falling asleep.
