Chapter Two

"Come on girls, focus." I groaned after turning off the music.

"This routine is so difficult." Someone whined before dropping to the floor and soon enough the others followed suit.

"Exactly, it's the kind of routine that would crush the competition." I said.

"Yeah, but that's like two months from now." Someone pointed out.

"Don't forget we have to learn three more routines, so would you get your lazy butts up." I said causing them to sluggishly get up.

"OK fine practice is over but I want to see you guys here tomorrow at seven." I said making them release a sigh of relief before dashing out of the gym.

Chuckling to myself, I picked up my water bottle and downed half of its content before picking up my gym bag and exiting the gym.

When I got to the shower only few girls remained. The bell rang signaling the start of the day but since my first period was a free period I didn't have to rush. Minutes later I jumped under the soothing hot water. After my shower, I put on my off the shoulder dress and matched it with my black stilettos. I quickly did my make up and by the time I was done the bell rang again. Since I already had my biology note and textbook in my bag I headed straight for class.

My phone pinged in my bag. Digging my hand in my bag I couldn't find the phone causing me to look into the bag. That was when I bumped into someone. I managed to stop myself from falling but my things didn't have such luck and were scattered on the floor.

Squatting, I began to apologize without even looking at who I bumped into.

"I'm sorry I wasn't-. Oh it's you." I stopped apologizing immediately I looked into the blue eyes of Forrest Royal. He rolled his eyes before smirking at me. He squatted next to me to pick up his things and I quickly shoved my things into my bag.

"I'm not excited to see you either." He replied and it was my turn to roll my eyes. Placing a fake smile on my face I stood up.

"If you'll excuse me I have better things to do than waste my precious and valuable time looking at your ugly face." I said.

"Don't pretend you wouldn't mind looking at this face all day." He replied.

"You wish, I rather stab myself sixty-seven times. I'm surprised your head hasn't exploded with that ego of yours."

"Are you just prolonging this so you have an excuse to spend some time with me."

"What the-" I started but he cut me off by walking away.

"Bye, bye Elle." He waved before disappearing behind the corner.

That idiotic, moronic, foolish boy. Could this day get any worse? As if summoned by my thoughts the late bell rang.

And he made me late for class.

The first half of the day passed and soon I found myself next to Gabby in the cafeteria. Soon enough Zander and Cass joined us minutes later.

"No you have to pick a place this time,I picked last time." Cass said to Zander.

"Babe, I'm cool with wherever you choose." Zander said to her and pressed his lips to her forehead. I averted by eyes from them, they acted as if  we weren't even there.

"What are you people talking about?" Gabby asked.

"Oh, we wanted to hangout on Saturday. Do you want to come?" She asked. Unlike what the movies told us, not all cheerleaders were witches and Cass fit into that category perfectly. She didn't scare of every girl that talked to Zander and she was perfectly fine with him having two female best friends. She was the kind of girl every guy wanted.
