Seeing that Jacob had feelings right then and there for Cherry, I had him take her to class. I walked to my first class, Science.

As I sat down I remembered, 'I left my book on my bed while reading last night!" If you haven't noticed, I had my stupid moments. Right before Mr.Casber started speaking I raised my hand. Nodding at me I quickly told him I needed to call my mom, since I left my book.

The phone rang for a few seconds then a sharp voice answered. "Hello?"

"Mom, it's me, Hailey."

"HAILEY! YOUR SUPPOSE TO BE IN CLASS!!!" I knew I was gonna get in trouble.

"I know. But I left my science book on my bed." I heard her yelling and cursing on the other side.

"You stupid, idiot-" and ect.

A few minutes later my mom walked towards me, with a stern face. Once she got there she grabbed my arm and slapped me. I felt tears rush. She threw the book on the bench that I was sitting on. I knew that she wasn't finished.

She whispers in a cold, strict voice, "Don't you EVER do that again." I nodded my head whimpering. "Get to class." She pushed me against the wall, and my head hit the cold brick, and she walked away. I touched my cheek, which was burning from her strike.

A tear fell and I knew I couldn't go to class like this. Running blindly to the bathroom I made sure it didn't look like I was crying, but a red hand print was on my left cheek.

Everyone stared at me as I walked in class. "Page 89, Hailey." Only the teacher was able to see my cheek, everyone else was on the other side. Sitting on the second row all the way to the right, I opened my book and read silently to myself.
In the cafeteria. I saw Cherry with Jacob.

He was talking to her and she would only smile every once and awhile. I walked over to her. She was getting up to throw her trash away. As we passed each other, I put my foot in front of hers. She tumbled to the ground with a gasp. Her trash flew all over her. The whole cafeteria burst out laughing, especially me. Cherry looked about to the edge of tears. Quickly Jacob got up, glared at me, and took Cherry out of the cafeteria. I just shrugged, grinning to myself.

Cherry and I came home after school. Her shirt was dirty from the mustard that was left on her sandwich, when I tripped her (which I didn't regret). My mom looked her up and down. "Go change." She said. My mom didn't say anything to me about earlier, but she gave me a small cold look and walked back to the laundry room.
I walked in my room with Cherry behind me. "

You can take a shower." I said. Cherry looked at me, as if that was the nicest thing I ever said to her. I looked at her.

"Well, are you gonna take a shower?" She quickly nodded her head an grabbed her clothes, and ran into the bathroom. I watched as she ran to the bathroom in a hurry, saying nothing. Hearing the water turn on I flopped on my bed, and facetimed my BFF.

Kalans face popped onto my phones screen. She was close up and making a silly face. We laughed and caught our breath for a bit.

"So," she says. "I saw your 'smooth move' on your foster sister today." I nodded.

"I don't regret it." I said. She rolled her eyes.

"Well, she doesn't seem that bad." Kalan said.

"That bad??" I say annoyed. "She's horrible. Her weird hair, and eyes. I don't understand how Jacob can even stand next to her!!" I exclaim.

Kalan shrugs. "Ok." Is all she says. "I think she's pretty sweet. And to be honest, she's really pretty." I looked at my BFF trying not to look hurt. She never called me 'Really pretty' only, 'Ya your pretty.' After awhile I told her I had to go, as I heard Cherry turn off the shower.
I stared at the ceiling. 'Am I that ugly?'
