I tried not to scream but, Scarlett next to me couldn't keep it in she screamed a parsing scream. It was all a flash, but she was snatched from the closet. The door closed I started to panic when, I heard a blood curling scream from Scarlett *gun shots* I cried not being able to hold it in. Max hugged me tight not letting go. We stood there hugging for two or three minutes When, I heard a different sound. It was a man's voice he was telling someone it was ok I opened the door and on the floor was Scarlett dead with a puddle of blood around her. Jacob and Cherry are hugging next to her crying. Cherry had blood on her hands and shoes. There were foot prints from where Scarlett was to where Cherry was. Cherry clearly tried saving her. I fall to the ground and start crying. Max comes up to me and hugs me. I cry into his shoulder and he doesn't let go. Cherry runs out of of the room crying. Jacob try's running after her, but someone stops him. I scream at the officer telling him he wasn't doing his job. He was being selfish I dived into Maxes arms, and I cry myself to sleep. I wake up in my room and I remember what happened at school and I dug my face in my pillow and sobbed I try to get my mind off of it. Max comes in with red basketball shorts and a white V-neck. He walks over to me and wraps one arm around my waist and the other across my back. I put my face against his chest and sob. He pets my head telling me everything will be ok. "No you don't understand!" I yelled. "SHE HAD BIG PLANS FOR WHEN SHE GROW UP!!!" I yelled and went back to crying in his chest.

I fell asleep in Max's arms. He snuggled with me. I woke up and he smiled at me. "Hi." He said. "Hi." I sat up and so did he. Quickly he leaned in and kissed me gently. His soft lips, his arms around me. Everything felt better for a moment. Then he moved away and I was back into the world. Mom walked in "Hey honey you ok?" She asks. I nodded and went back to crying in Max's arm she sets something on the bed and walked out. I look up and see Scarlett's Journal and jacket. I pick up her journal and almost open it when Max puts his hand on it "Not yet" he says. I pull him in for a kiss when my dad walks in

"Dad!"

"Oh uhm am I interrupting something?" Dad asked

"Uhm no" Max says and leaves the room dad sits on the bed and kisses my head "are you ok?" he asks "WHY DOES EVERYONE ASK THAT? MY BEST FRIEND JUST DIED DO YOU THINK IM OK?" I yell "I'm sorry dad I'm just upset" I say he nods and leaves the room. I grab my phone and text Cherry

Me: Hey, it's Ally I need a friend! :(

Cherry: I'm with my dad, but we can come over!

Me: Cool I'd love to meet your dad!

Cherry: it's my real dad not Foster dad...

Me: Even cooler! Hurry I really need a friend! Max just left...

Cherry: On my way! Text me your address.

Me: 5346 Drawwood dr.

Cherry: Thanks

I jumped out of bed and ran to the bathroom. "UUGGHHH my hairs a mess." I opened a drawer and took out my hair brush. I went downstairs and grabbed some snacks and ran back up.

Ten minutes later

*door bell* I run down stairs and open the front door "Hi." Cherry said as I let her in the house. Behind her, I guessed, was her dad. He was tall and had brown hair and green eyes. He put out his hand and smiled. "Hi." I shook it.

I opened my door and let Cherry in. My dad and her dad were talking downstairs about something in the news "So." She said

"So."

"What were you and Max doing?" I blushed.

"We weren't doing anything!" I said. She smiled and raised her eyebrow.

"Ssuurrreee."She smirked we sit on the bed and Cherry and I both start to cry "Should we work on our project?" Cherry sniffles "Yeah..." I weep

I get up and grab a poster board and a hot glue gun "we had Rome right?" I ask "Yes" cherry said as she got off my bed and wiped a tear. I look up Rome on my computer and find some pictures and print them out Cherry glues them onto the board.

I put some final touches: Pictures of the Church there, and glued the paper with our little speech in the back for us to read. "There." I smiled. Cherry looked at it. "I think something's missing." She said. I looked at her. "It's looks fine to me? What's missing?" Cherry got up and went to my supply closet. She came out with a lightbulb. "We should have the sun shining?" I laughed. We have to make them interesting. Hopefully it'll catch someones eye. We hook it up and did some other things. "Now it's done." I turned on a switch and it was lighted up. "I think thats good." I got up and grabbed some snacks from my bed.

"So." I said sitting down. "Are you and Jacob a thing yet?" I asked. Cherry blushed.

"I just met him yesterday!"

I shrugged. "So? He's cute, funny, a good kisser, don't ask we were playing truth or dare. And it was only on the cheek." Cherry didn't look very happy, but she would have to get over it. "Do you like him?" I asked knowing the answer

"Yes!" She shouted

"calm down girl!" I giggle "so have you and Max kissed?" She asks

"what?" I ask how does she know we're dating

"I saw Your phone when max handed it back to you. Now answer my question" she said

"Yes..." I said

"Awww."she said.

I blushed. "But, sometimes I feel like he should have someone better."

"NO!! YOU TWO ARE PERFECT!" My mom came upstairs and opened the door. "Hey. Cherry's dad was wondering if she could sleepover? Is that alright with you two!" I looked at Cherry and smiled. She nodded her head. At night we talked and talked. Finally I fell asleep thinking of Max.
