In the West we refer to people as Candians in Canda,
U. S. citizens in the United States
And for those of you history nerds who may have taken European history sometime in college here's a fact you may not have known.
Princess Elena is the Latina Princess and no that doesn't that doesn't refer hey we speak Latin language it's actually what we call Mesoamericans or South Americans
Sofia is not a Latina Princess the family has represent of high soaphiscated European life and the buildings are designed and inspired by Spanish places in Spain.
Although the term Caucasian makes one think of the Mount Range in Russia all Europe royalty is very intermingled being that many kings and Queens sought matches from elsewhere outside there country. Like during Catherin the Great's reign many German princesses were selected especially from Berlin.
There is a book about some of these things one of which is called Four Queens where four sisters married for different men outside of their country
One married off to the king of France.
Another married off to the King of Sicily
Yet Another married to the of England
Also another to the King of Germany
And this was during the time of crusades and you can go on and on and find more connections of countries interlinked with each other that's why I believe the term Caucasian is a more accurate term for European races too.
Elena of Avalor speaks a more similiar language to Porteguese which is a combination of French and Spanish and they have far more islands right within the kingdom borders too which makes think it is suppose to be modeled after the islands south of the Gulf of Mexico and in the Pacific border side too. And made something of Brazil inspired too possibly.
So if you were confused hope that clears it up and yes I love both of them so so so so much. And I love the supporting characters if you're a fan of Sofia the first I started my own story about her her mother and her best friends in the village before she came to the castle and when adventures of the Buttercup troop too."
One more thing the sport the Avalorian's play I don't remember the name but big court and holes can be seen in Dreamworks Road to Eldrado and in that sequence it was Aztecs but I don't think that's what they were going for with Princess Elena of Avalor. Her skin is much lighter and I know there are two possible reasons one the sun is bright where she is and in Eldrado there is tons of shade so the sun wouldn't hit so hard. But that's my reasoning for bringing this confusing topic up right now. It just slapped me in the face. So I wrote it down right now
