Warmth

Winter had begone, and it was safe to it assume the harshness it was. Crybaby had somewhat gotten used to harsh winters, mainly when he was hanging out with Hime. Where she lived the winters where fun for Cry, but Hime definitely didn't appreciate them.

Cat and Akari where running in the mist of all the weather. Cat was freezing, and Akari was too. As much as she wanted to complain, she kept to herself. Cat did most of the complaining on the path to Hime's home.

Cat sighed, breathing slightly hard. She knocked on the door, hoping they where home. Cat and Akari sure did not want to travel all the way home in this type of weather. Hime didn't hear it at first, until the sound came again. Hime sat up, laying her book to the side of the couch, and went to the door.

As soon as Hime opened the door, she noticed how cold they seemed. She moved out of the way, as both scurried inside. Scary, Hime and Cry's son was sitting in a little dog bed. Akari had never seen Scary before, and didn't really trust it. They both got undressed from their winter coats, hanging them up. Cat took off her shoes while Akari didn't. Himedere went into the kitchen to warm up some water.

Scary went over to the two, scurrying his little eight legs. He climbed up onto the couch, sitting close to Cat. She smiled at him, she couldn't deny that he was quite adorable. Himedere had came back into the living room, sitting two warm mugs in front of the two. Hime sat down a bowl of sauce, for Scary. He was overjoyed with the sight of his favorite food, jumping right up to eat it. Akari still, honestly didn't trust him.

Hime and Cat had some small talk, as they watched TV. At some point, Crybaby's name was brought up. Akari realized, there was a he in this house. She shivered, remembering something she rather not. She wanted to forget, but sadly her medication didn't work that way. It was only there to make her feel better, recover from this. They said it would be ok, but she didn't want to listen anymore.

Akari felt cold, she was at a safe place. She wouldn't get hurt, she tried to tell herself that, but the thoughts digged into her mind like termites. Cat had noticed, and elbowed her gently. Akari had snapped out of it, jumping slightly, staring back at Cat. ''Hey, Akari?'' She asked. ''..y-yeah?'' Akari replied, her voice quiet. ''you ok?'' Cat asked, Akari paused for a second than simply nodded.

Himedere said it would be fine if they stayed the night, since the storm would be over by morning. Something bothered Akari as she went up into the guest room, a lovely queen sized bed sat in the middle, a small vanity to the left of the bed, and a chandelier in the middle of the ceiling. Hime said Cry would be home, she tried to reassure herself it would be alright. As he was a close friend to Hime.

Cat enjoyed her time off from the kingdom she ruled, winter was enjoyable. She was excited when Cry would come home, as in the morning they could all play outside in the snow. Even if Hime wouldn't, as she didn't like the snow. She actually rather enjoy sitting in that truck for no reason. Yes, it would be fun. With her friends, maybe even getting Scary out there. Even if he was used to warmer weather, Cry had said once he would love to spend time in the snow with his son, and friends.

Tomorrow would be another one of those days.
